yes gm's site is definatly wrong and so is yahoo auto. remember gm stating that the final drive is 4.05:1 not 1st gear. first gear is 3...:1 dont know exactly, i believe aka matt got the ratios right. but the final drive ratio is 4.05:1 there is tons of confusion behind it.

Well those are some excellent numbers for 91 octane

I'll have to visit this site more to check in on future results for these cars. Looking like some good competition from the factory for the SRT-4

Ive never seen any more than 1-3 hp difference AT MOST on a dyno.

Fyi, I think the fourth gear dyno runs were about 1.5 - 2 hp lower in fourth gear.

All of the cars I have ever dyno tested in though, have been in third gear, so thats what I posted.

Also, what was the correction factor used?

Just curious, b/c I know some of the SRT-4 dyno's that produced 240+whp on a bone stock SRT-4 the correction factor was like 1.21 which is a little weird to me.

Oh, also, dynojet in ground dynamometer.
All cars tested at Carboy, a well known import tuner in Houston Texas.

So in other words. This car is strongly over rated that is was i am getting from this thead.....? right ????? and if so, what are the REAL number for the car???? HP TRQ??? and if they got that much power from just a filter drop then i guess an actual CAI or SRA will make it a little quicker correct?

Don't you mean underrated? Chevy claims HP of 205 and the dyno shows about 218 at the wheels and around 245 at the crank.

Ok enough about the dyno, where are my parts

I believe the 217 number without a doubt. You can't second guess everything in life.

So correct me if I'm wrong but the cobalt actually has More HP stock or with a drop in than the Neon SRT4? The SRT 4 has 230 .... and it seems like everyone agrees the SS is more than that.

Yes it does. The dyno was 217 HP.
Chevy reports 205 hp. That's 12 hp more. If some has another dyno sheet to contest that figure please go ahead and post it

keep in mind the srt-4 is xtremly underated also, its pushing stock higher hp and tq numbers than the cobalt is. i believe they are dynoing around 220hp at the wheels and 230-240 tq at the wheels, so thats saying it has a good amount more hp and tq than dodge claims.

Yeah most SRT's baseline at 220 - 240 hp at the wheels, with 250+ torque. With that nice torque curve, you should get some decent launches, something that is a bit difficult for us. Hopefully, GM didn't program your ECU as **** as ours, with a SC you are ripe for mods like cams/headers/ exhaust that should put you over 300hp pretty easily. (Cams on a SRT are known to lose hp ) I see 300+ being your big problem number, as that will be the limit of the SC. Is anyone working on a bigger SC / turbo swap yet?

theres currently a twin charger setup, gravana tuning is developing a turbo charger setup to work with the supercharger, it should see 300hp easily. and i'm sure that will be with low boost like 5-6 psi. and up the boost onthe turbo and the supercharger and 400-500 isnt out of the question imo.

Well I plan on doing a cold air intake on my SS and eventually a cat back. Any suggestions on what brand of cat back? All I have to say is I'm not complaining that they under-rate the cars. I don't exactly line my wallet with bills so that helps the insurance.

Nothing out there yet.

I am working with TOG (the other guys products- real company) to get a header worked up. If that works out I am going to be going a full 3 " exhaust , including a high flow cat.

It seems that all the 3 inch mufflers seem to be race series so I am afraid that they will be overly loud. I really want performance without excessive noise.
