I want to see a picture of it. Then I'll decide. For some odd reason it dosn't seem true.
Eeeh what the hell it's only $80.00. Someone buy it and try it out.

ok the cobalt ss has a mass air flow sensor and a map sensor a map sensor or manifold absolute preassure sensor is simply a resistor that meassures the difference between intake manifold preassure and atmosphere preassure. the computer uses this to monitor when the engine is under load to alter spark and ful mixture. if im not mistakking though the cobalt already has a 2 bar map sensor. what happens is this lets say a car has a 1 bar, once the manifold preassure reaches a certain point (boost) and computer cant monitor anymore your car will hit fuel cut.

Its the map sensor that comes with the car OEM.
The MAP reads absolute pressure. So if your running 14.7 PSI of boost (1bar) plus the regular air pressure at sea level 14.7 PSI (1 bar) you have to 2 bars.

It dosn't even say in the listing that it adds boost. It just says that it reads 2 bar.

This is a brand new Map sensor for a 2005 Chevy Cobalt SS. It is capable of reading up to 14.7 lbs of boost. Plugs right into many gm vehicles after 2000. This is an original AC-Delco Part. Not a cheap aftermarket one.
