engine disabled/engine reduced power

I was driving the other day and the reduced engine power warning came up. At first i thought nothing of it when all i had to do was turn it off then start it back up. Today it happened twice. First time shut it off then back on no problem. Not long ago like half hour or so it happened again. Turn off, try to turn it back on, gave me the Engine Disabled warning and Engine reduced power warning. What can this be from? I also have no boost what so ever and it takes AGES to get up to speed. Help?

Are you sure you weren't in your friends civic?

Computer might be bad. Battery has a bad cell. Check your gas cap.

I got a letter from GM about that reduced engine power warning. Take it in. I think this is the one.

jjust got back from the shop. They scanned the car and came up with 4 codes.
P2135 TP sensor 1-2 correlation ( no idea about this one)
P0315 CKP system variation not learned ( can do a simple case relearn for that i think...right?)
P2176 Min Throttle Pos not Learned (no idea about this one)
p2119 Throttle Body closed position performance.
TB position spec is at 7% scan shows its running at 31%

Now can that last one be fixed by a tune or do i have to go and get a new one.

TP= Throttle position
TB= Throttle body

3 out of 4 of the codes are throttle/pedal related so I'd start there. It sounds like the position sensor may by bad or may not have a good connection. A new sensor and/or calibration may be in order. It should be under warranty at the dealer.

I'd get it looked at though. Don't want any unintended acceleration!

Check the connection to the throttle body sensor. could have a bad wire or maybe its just loose.

shop installed new TB and did all that stuff. Drove home pretty much alright except when i came top the last light before my road. Engine Power Reduced. Drove into a stopand shop which was right next to the light. as soon as i let off the gas it died. Engine Disabled.

So i guess the new TB didnt do **** for me. im at a complete loss now. They took the car back to the shop and logged it while they were driving. Still they have no idea whats going on. The codes came back and what not. The only thing i could think of now is batter corrosion? but that seems to not be a problem and the battery is fine.

Please anything that might fix this. im up for anything.

You should never see this unless you swapped out a pcm and didnt do the case relearn(zzp stage 3)

If this is the case your pcm might be going out,

But a bad ckp sensor might kill the car like that,but I thought I read it will run on one sensor.

i did swap out the pcm when i got trifecta tuned. Since the zzp was locked or something, we used my stock one and tuned it for all my mods. we did 2 case relearns. so now im just even more confused o.o lol.

so its been over a week and so far the stealership and the 3 car shops i've brought it to have no idea whats causing this. seems like i might be selling the car. anyone got anything else that it could be?

got a new TB, new ecu tuned to my mods, case relearn for the ecu. new tb sensors, new MAF/filter for intake, new fuel pump/injectors. so far i've spent close to 1k fixing **** that apparently had nothing to do with the problem. any help would be awesome.

Have you checked the sensor on the accelerator pedal? The car is drive by wire and that could cause a problem similar to this as well too. If a CASE relearn was done I don't know why you are still getting the CKP code though.

That's what I was saying from the start. ^

If I remember right 3 out of 4 of your codes could be pedal related. It could be just a $20 pedal sensor.

Take a good look at the C2 connector also the wires coming out of it trace them back as far as you can
looking for anything suspicious.
Check to make sure the connector stays on tight as well on to the pcm.

im having the exact same problem. do you have an aftermarket intake? i instaled mine a week ago and the day after i installed it my car said the same thing and i lost all power. did it for DAYS and my dad finally said why dont you put the old intake back on and see if itll run. sure enough its running great. ive been told it could be turbulance over the mass air flow sensor. or my ecu is overloaded. im going to get mine dynoed and see whats wrong. but i f you have an aftermarket intake on, i would try and take it off and see what happens

I've replaced ALL that stuff, including the pedal and it keeps doing it. I'm so close to selling this thing and buying an older WRX.
