No prob. I am going to get one more day of driving in before I post my thoughts on the vibrant setup. The dyno will more than likely happen sometime early next week. Joe is going on a well needed vacation.

hey Deathscythe, you have the vibrant header/dp on right now right? if so was the top 12 0 clock part where the header and dp meet hard to get bolted up without leaking?, mine seems to leak at the top

I've got a pretty thick gasket in place now, and the bolts were tightened down pretty good, but at low revs in second and third gear, there is a weird noise coming from under the hood. I think it's a leak as well on mine now. I don't want to break the bolts but at the same time, I don't want it to leak. It might just take some higher strength bolts and tightening the **** out of them.

ye im getting that same noise at low revs under load almost like a ticking sound, and the bolts vibrant gave me were single 15mm bolts and nuts, and we i go to tighten them down the bolt would just spin from the back side... is there any kinda bolt/nut or w.e i can buy so it would not spin, almost the like stock bolt/nuts?

My Vibrant setup was hard to stop from leaking as well. I actually had to tighten it after any driving for a few days before it finally just stayed in place

are you using a wrench on the back side to hold the head in place?

That's a possibility. If you're using the stock bolts, it won't work right.

I don't think you have read it.... Because I clearly posted a before and after of the JBP as experienced by myself. Deathscythe also has posted his dyno and results from the JBP.

From what most are saying on here, I received a severly substandard header compared to other members. I would be willing to retest with someone's vortex header to set things straight.

Fair is fair.

the frickin thing dont work what more to say and JBP represent themselves as knowing what to do, and dont this is just another instance. case closed.

Thoughts of the vibrant header/downpipe.

Pros:

Installation is pretty much straight forward. 10 bolts tight for the header, and three to the dp.

I saw a boost pressure drop of .6 psi after swapping to this from the jbody header.

Even with a smaller than preferred collector and downpipe for my app, it doesn't seem to affect performance with the car. It pulls rather hard, and I have torque steer in first and second gear.

Picking up speed in the higher gears doesn't take long.

Cons:

First, the ******* secondary o2 sensor. Why they would put it that far back is beyond me. The cat could have been closer to the bend.

There is a ticking noise that comes from the header when picking up speed in a lower gear. It's only there for a few seconds, but it is noticeable.

And lastly, they should have made it more accessible to people with an option for a 3" going to the catback.

Dang u must be as slow to reading as on post 325 I Told him thanks and he states he needs to test a different header due to the other header was messed up even though most o there stuff has been from everyones experience. Obviously there reputation is long gone and crap. I will be doing a dyno tune with Vince after my stance coilvers come in and post numbers with a tvs and jbp header. If the header is a big issue I will gladly buy a new header from CIA. Case closed!

Depending on your mods it might not be necessary though. If you don't have your mods listed on the site then list them here. That'll give us a better idea of if it will be satisfactory. But the tvs and vortex should be enough.

He's a Navy sailor. His vitamins involve cream-of-some-young-guy. Just kidding! But, you know what they say: When a ship goes out it has 100 sailors. When it comes back in it has 50 couples.

I'm not going to even go into what "MARINES" means. Plus, my ship is a co-ed ship. Finding an acceptible dame is never a problem, not even on a deployment.

I found exactly the same thing with the Vibrant pita. i woulda kept it if it had a 3 inch merge collector. *****'s cti would be better with a merge collector from those guys in Cali cant remember their name. I used to buy x pipes from dr gas, he does the same thing every one in racing pays attention to the collector these days. Maybe a reworked pacesetter. My cti rings at 5 k to 6 k or so normal for stainless to vibrate that way.Death do you get any ringing from the Vibrant?

from time to time, but it's not there for long. It comes in around 4k up till about 5k.
