sorry havnt been following well so if its been said sorry....
but ive got a CA V2 header if you are interested... im not sure if there will be a huge differance but it is a shorty style header that i would be willing to take off if i had a manifold to put on...perferably not stock one

Just to let you know, I've moved on to setting up the jbp header for tomorrow. The stock header is off the car as of now, and I'm just waiting for tomorrow when I get off of work so I can try and install it without losing any hair or sanity.

You will likely loose both, but it think the latter is already gone.

The jbp header is finally on. It took me about 2.5 hours to get the header up and bolted in. By far the most painful installation I've ever done.
Period.
First thoughts of the header: The car sounds slower when going through the powerband. The sound that everyone raves about is distinct at best. It does sound like half scooby, half exotic. It has the sound of a v-8 with no attached exhaust, with the way it isolates every exhaust pulse. Not my taste however. It sounds great in first gear, but after pulling through second gear, it sounds like the header can't keep up with the amount of air being pushed out of it. It sounds like jpb up until about 4500, then sounds no different than the stock header. It doesn't pulse anymore, it's more of just a flat sound. And the car is considerably louder than before.
I feel the header would not only sound better but benefit the n/a applications more. Mind you, I have a tvs and a ported head, so it may very well be because of the size of the primaries. But there are also those nasty bends in all of the primaries, which don't allow the gases to get out as quickly as possible. For me, this header seems to be a restriction. I'm not one to talk much of the butt dyno, but it just feels slower to me.
Anyway, the results of this header will be up before the end of this week. And if anyone needs advice on how to get this in, I got you. Getting it out..., well I haven't gotten there yet. lol

I know that there are those watching and wondering, maybe even thinking I have something against this header. Personally, I could care less. I'm just gathering information and numbers for the community. Some think that it would make power, and from the design, I just don't believe that it will. I go to dyno it on Wednesday, so I know that there will be feelings hurt the day after tomorrow.

I wanted that one......they dont make it anymore. Id love to see a dyno between the two styles, they claim it was because it flows better/makes more power, by looking at the new one it seems pretty obvious it was changed because the 2nd design is much easier to make/shares more bends with the 4-1 header.

Stu, you just made my ******* day. On Friday, I'll get your phone number so we can talk business. I have the 4-1 header and dp for mine. I know you can drive and all, but as of today, you are the ****.
Thanks.
