They sent me another email. Not saying much, but they sent me a PDF file with the specs on the new clutch system. I've attached it to this post. The numbers it shows for the stage 3 are kinda disappointing.

288 doesn't seem like a lot for drag use. But given, I only do drag once every two weeks or so. Right now TTR is talking to Exedy so I can buy it from them so hopefully I can get it soon. Need a new clutch bad.

Yeah stage 4 looks good, but I can't imagine using that as a daily driver in the traffic I get into.

you just sit when traffic starts to move and when you have 3-4 car lengths of space, let her ripp.

Lol, solid unsprung disc would make for an interesting commute. And yeah I agree, Stage 3 numbers kinda suck, you need something you won't have to worry about replacing again.

They don't seem to list the Cobalt version torque specs, but the DSM version of the Spec Stage 3 is 415lbs of flywheel torque and the Mustang version is 680lbs, so figure somewhere in between. The 3+ is supposedly rated for more torque than a 3 as well.

Edit: Also found Acura/Honda and Ford Focus 3+ is good for 660lbs on a drag strip, I bet the Cobalt one is real close to that number.

Well after talking to Exedy and Aaron @ TTR, I will be purchasing the kit Monday. I believe Aaron said they will be listing it on their website soon so expect something from him.

I just hope this thing lasts me while I'm still adding power to the car. Spec 3+ seems like it would hold more power and be more future proof...

BTW Witt, this means I will be needing your garage the weekend I get this, lol.

Only the stage 3 is available now. So that one. If your FX400 would **** up somehow, what clutch would you get Luigi?

lol, the one with the highest torque specs, you'll get used to the clutch, when i got the 6 puck everyone i talked to was like isnt it a bitch in bumper to bumper traffic and i was like no. I would probly lean more toward the exedy but IDK, i tried contacting ACT but they never emailed me back. My budy has a ACT 2600(i think) in his eclispe and i got a knot in my calf the first time i tried driving it lol, the clutch pedal was that stiff.

I have contacted ACT and they returned me an e-mail saying that they were developing a clutch for us, but had no ETA or price.

That's interesting b/c the very first choice of clutch for me would be ACT and second would be Exedy. Either way I think both these clutches will perform great.

That's good to hear as I have djt81185's spare FX 400 on the way. I'm still kinda worried about the issues though.
