So my exhaust canister broke off i don't know how. I been driving like this for a bit. The othr night i got pulled over for my "modified exhaust" , i told him it wasn't modified but broken. I don't have the finds right now to buy another cat back but my buddy has his old reclined exhaust. He told me i can have it if i needed it. My car is stg3,andmy plan was to cut off just the stock exhaust canister and. weld it on to my exhaust. Would this hurt my motor? Or could i expect some power loss, and a quiet exhaust. I've read that the stock recline exhaust could fit but it's just a bit longer. I can live with that pleadhelp !

 

You are taking about the muffler right? Or.... Catalytic converter? Or resonator?

 

Just the muffler the very end part of the exhaust system

 

Why not just buy a cheap muffler but something that will flow better then what he is probably gonna give you n weld it yourself if you can

 

go buy like a magnaflow muffler, reuse the stock tip.

 

Ill go see how much they are i dont have the stock tim since my car came with some ricey exhaust
