That really sucks but you are not the first. There are at least 2 others who have already shared your fate.

Okey doke. Thats somewhat unsettling if the car was tuned..... (assuming it was because of the HPT)

Guys, don't be so quick to assume it's the tune. There's probably more to the story.
Sorry to hear that Nick. Good luck with getting it fixed.

Selfinfliction and I have blown engines, and a few others have followed as well. Mine happened as well at normal driving without boost being involved. All I had was an intake when mine blew though. It just plain sucks!

I feel your pain man. I've been there twice already! I hope it works out for you though. GM has seriously lost all my future purchases because of they way they've been treating everyone. I'm only 23, and I have owned 4 GM products, a 72 VW bug, and a 04 Tacoma 4x4. The toyota and the bug are the only two vehicles that ran consistantly too!!! It's pretty bad when my 72 dub became my daily driver since my 06 was down for months!

This very much so sucks but not to beat a dead horse but I hope this is a warning to the SS/SC owners out there who say "warranty means nothing to me"...cause when your engine goes, you're gonna be fighting tooth and nail for that warranty back. Spending 2-3 grand on a new engine is not fun or cheap.

So before you modify a seemingly brand new car, remember, this is the risk you are taking.

I hope everything works out for you though. Good luck fighting with GM.

thats is one of the things I researched about buying this car and was already planning on tearing down the motor anyway... my car is heavily modified but I do monitor everything and I do mean everything that goes on with the motor to make sure I always stay in the "safe" zone as to not blow it up before I"m ready to rebuild.... but I'm just about ready to do it so hopefully it holds up to then....

Oh I understand that but just wanted to clarify this to people who want to buy it and then put like 1.5" pulleys on their superchargers lol.

(exaggeration...yes I know)

A 1.5" pulley would make your supercharger whine sound like 5 pigs in a blanket getting beat with a leather paddle!
