Free Dyno Pull & $100!!!!

So today im at work, and im talking to one of my co-workers. he is always ******* cobalts and underestimating them a ton. of course he is a mustang gt owner, so evidently he is the baddest mo fo in the state...RIGHT!!! well anyways. so a friend of mine just bought a used 06 civic si coupe for like 16,000. its in great shape, but with 197hp and 160 something torque i believe, wouldnt stand a chance against my balt. so then he starts commenting on my balt again, saying that i have just as much horsepower as that si, saying itd be a very close race. i then remind him that he spent $5100 on rebuilding the motor, stage 2 cams, ported and polished heads and intake, custom dyno tune and full exhaust and made 275whp on his 03 mustang gt...well then he says my car wouldnt make near that amount of power if i even make low 200whp. so he told me, that he would take me to a dyno, pay to have my car dynoed, and if i get 210whp or more, that he would give me a $100....but if i dyno at 209whp or lower, i owe him $100, but he would steal cover the dyno costs.....so i shook on this and got his word on everything. so did i pretty much just get a free dyno run and $100??? HAHAHAHA what yall think ill dyno at? i think its a mustang dyno where we are going.......

You better get a tune in before then to seal the deal. He might go to a low rating Mustang dyno, and you could loose out on this deal. Just some food for thought.

plus a lil extra spending money sounded great..haha

hey you guys think i should up my pulley size to like a 2.95 or so?? cause i know there was someone on here that actually dynoed more hp from a 2.8 to the stage 2 pulley cause of heat, but i believe he wasnt running any cooling mods which i am.

I think you need to get in those 60's and a good tune in addition to your current setup. Increasing the meth will only lower your A/F ratios decreasing power if you are not properly tuned for it.

Just to give you an idea of how low Mustang dynos can be, I laid down 238whp and 230wtrq with current setup minus the methanol injection! However, my car is a lot faster than the 238whp that it laid down.

I went on a DynoDynamics dyno.. they dyno low as hell. and with just a full exhaust and intake I made 218 to the wheels. You'll make your money easy. Even without a tune.

yea i have no doubt that i will get over 210whp. something would be waaay wrong. im just wanting to get as close as possible to the 275whp that he got on his mustang gt just to prove to him that that lil v8 aint everything in the world...but ima need my 60s and dyno tune before i can get close to that...

New Si's have a pitiful 138 tq. At like 12,467,885 rpms. But yeah even with just a Stg 2 you should dyno more than 210.
