Gap of plugs and GM stage 2?
Ive been reading about how making a bigger gap (.45 instead of stock .35) is beneficial to the Intense kit as far as HP is concerned. For those of us with GM stage 2 would there be any benefit to gapping bigger?
What exactly does the gap do?

So all the stage 2 drivers here, have you replaced your plugs with the stage installation? I just tried to order 2 and a tech who has a SS/SC mentioned you should replace your plugs... Thoughts??

I went to NGK's and gapped them at 0.037.
The gap determines how ez the current can jump the gap, a smaller gap allows the current to jump easier which is good for FI and nos because the compression is higher, higher compression makes it harder for the current to jump hense the smaller gap. Smaller gap also helps avoid pre-ignition knock and all that bad *****. Larger gaps can be used for cars that are heavily modded but usually accompany and high intensity ignition system. They key to find the sweet spot gap them a lil lower than you want, see how it runs than gap a lil bigger and see how it runs and keep going until u feel the car is running the best. Obviously stay within the 0.035 - 0.045 range.
hope this helps.
