Well stu i just thought i would post in this thread and tell all these guys that this is a really worth while mod especially if your running a smaller than stock pulley. I went and bought all my stuff yesterday and was ina hurry and didnt seal up the bottom fitting good enough and i didnt use o rings and ended up gettin a pretty bad leak on the bottom of mine but today i just drained the coolant back out and used some o rings and let the sealant dry up really good before i put it back together and now its good to go. Just make sure when you put it together make sure you do like stu said and use the soapy water and do not twist the fitting or the sealant will break. i used to see like iat2's about 30-40 above iat1's when cruising on the highway now i see b/t 15-20 above iat1's which is a big difference for such a small mod. i havent gotta chance to get a third gear wot run yet and log the iat2s but im sure they wont be near as high as they used to be. Anways sorry for the novel but this is a great mod heres some pics of mine. Oh and i didnt run a new line from the stock h/e i just used a little straight through connector and two hose clamps to extend the stock tubing because i didnt wanna mess with draining the whole system thats what the last pic is of...

I did one of these mods custom with just a coolant resevoir i got from a Cobra, and i must say there is a huge noticeable difference, especially when you get to the end of 2nd 3rd gear. You can really feel the car not heat soaking and still pulling strong.

One thing i want to say and that is the price of this kit is pretty high, if you have limited technical knowledge you should be able to get the same results with about 30-50 bucks.

But the kit does look nice and is a very good mod to have.

this is true, but you have to account for the fact that this is a "ready to go" kit. you do not have to tap any holes, measure anything, cut any hoses. Pretty brainless mod haha

I am interested in this as well, seems like an awesome cooling mod. I'm not committing at this time since I need money for school coming up, but when the time comes, I will PM you. I'll be following this thread for more updates too.

i understand on the warranty thing but i HIGHLY doubt they would care if you made the car run safer haha. FYI you could swap back to the stock setup in probably an hour if its a big problem

i had to go get me another tank today and redo the whole get up because i tapped the input hole too high on my first one and under wot coolant was shooting up out of the tank from the little breather hole i drilled. can you post a pic of where you put your breather hole?? this time i drilled the input hole in the same spot as you so it should be good to go..

so is the breather hole a permanent thing or just for initially working air out of the system?

Just curious....the location of the return line is well below the fluid lever, so I'm assuming air really couldn't work it's way back in as long as you kept it full.

1) the hole is permanent, but i just opened the top up for bleeding. this allowed me to add water whenever as well.

2) technically, air would never get back so long as the fluid was above the output nipple because the input line shouldnt let air get back down in the system.

Im interested in one of these, my temps have been pretty high and looking to get a dual pass and was going to go with option b, i should be able to use your system with it right. I also have a cobra heat exchanger so if I were to get this what would be the right way to run the coolant lines. I will most likely look into to buying this by the end of next month if its good with you stu
