Getting CA Stage 2 This Friday!!!

After over a year of owning this car, I have finally decided to get staged. This friday I am having Cobalt-Addiction Stage2 Kit installed on my car. I'm really excited about it.

For those that don't know, the kit includes:
Stage #2PLUS : 2.8 ZZP Interchangeable Pulley system , 1 step colder ngk spark plugs , GM shortened belt , 42# Lucas Injectors , Injector Wiring harness , Stage #2 Retune ... Est. 55 Hp over stock - 16.5 psi boost

Anything I should know about running a setup like this? I'm running stock exhaust, will I be ok with that for now?

I'll bump this thread back up when I get it on and let everyone know my thoughts.

Rule of thumb around here is 2.8 and 42# isn't what most people call safe.
None the less you will deff notice a diff!

Yea, I'm actually thinking of doing a 2.9 instead.

2.8 is actually what most ppl go to with 42# injectors and rich gm stage2 tune...it leans them out safely w/o having to get a tune...but CA is known for having insanely lean tunes...recommendation...a minimum of a narrow band a/f gauge or wideband to make sure your not leaning it out

Dropping pullies DOES NOT lean out a AFR. The PCM is still going to command the same AFR even if a 2.0 pulley is on the car. The only reason dropping a pulley size would make you run lean is because you are maxing the injectors and they cant supply enough fuel to keep the commanded AFR. And that is not a good thing at all. Pullies do NOT controll AFR, tunes do.

you need cooling mods and a good tune. That box tune is ****. Trust me. I've raced a local guy with CA stage 4 and we were dead even until I pulled away at the top of 3rd. I posted it in the vids section a few weeks ago.

i was going to say if the price is comparable around 500 then just get the zzp stage 3...its what i have....its a 3.0 pulley an hub with 42# injectors and the tune is a lil rich but its safe an they will tune for your modifications

then make sure you don't get a box tune, make sure they dyno tune your car. And also, get cooling mods with that small of a pulley. Get AT LEAST dual pass and bigger heat exchanger.

UPDATE

I've decided to play it safe. I just ordered the GMPP kit on CED instead. I got a great labor rate from the dealer, and I'll feel a lot more safe now. Anyone know how fast CED usually ships?

Was already planning on it. How much do you get for a tune?

for a full road tune (usually about 2 hours of fun) I charge $250, with free updates. but you will probably pick up 20-30whp over the canned tune, and driveability will be a lot better.
Ask ralli, he's basically running my superstock tune. (if that's still the one he got off of sheek360 lol)

The Cobalt Addiction Stage 4 Retune on my buddy's car at WOT has an AFR of 10.6:1 .... thats pretty rich, idk where people are getting they are lean. I know this information is accurate because I work for GM and checked the AFR with the Tech 2 scan tool and from my knowledge they are very accurate.

But the IAT2s are in the area of usually 185-almost 200 degrees .......
