whats stock FP and FPR mean? Are you talking about just increasing the fuel pressure to get more fuel out of the injectors? If so I think that would be a good lower cost alternative. What it comes down to is the ECU program that I want. If I have to buy some injectors to get it I will.
As for the warrenty nay sayers (not addressed at codyss)
Rest assured GM will honor the warrenty on the staged upgrades.

a close friend of mine's dad happens to run the plant were these cars are made(i told this story about him in my woodward post) and about 2-3 weeks ago he called me over to his house to check out his car now normaly he drives a ss/sc from there fleat but this time was a much differnt story.i saw a red cobalt with painted calipers so when i went up to him to ask what the **** it was all he said to me was "this is stage upgraded car and its goin out to sema but i have to put some miles on it just to check every thing out".. now i tryed to take a few pics but he quickly put a stop to that now after a very short drive in this car i can tell you this for shere. it shere as hell feels like it a raised redline and from what i could see it was a it higher and its brutly quick i wanted him to race a srt-4 from the stoplight but the car had not been totaly brokin in yet so that dident happen but yea after that drive i was totaly blown away and i cant waite to get that on mine. i dont think any of us will be disapointed

Actually, the GM Stage I and II will not only carry a warranty, they will be 50 state emissions legal; and will not void the warranty on the vehicle on which they are installed. They are going to great pains to achieve these things and it will translate to higher cost. But ask any of the SRT owners who got stuck by the dealer when they saw a Stage I/II/III kit and lost warranty coverage on something totally unrelated if they would have paid a few dollars more for warranty. Or ask those who live in California how fun it is to find CARB certified parts for their cars.. GM stuff will not be inexpensive, nor will it be cheap.

I'm suprised no one caught this... I just thought it was funny.
Anyways i'm excited myself for the Stage Upgrades. I can't wait. Definately be nice with the K&N CAI, Header, and Full Exhaust. Car will be pushin' sub 300hp i'm guessing.
Oh yea i forgot to tell you guys... My baby's momma, sisters brother's daddy called me up and told me that his baby's daddy's sisters cousin drove a stage upgraded cobalt ss that cost 5k.... nevermind j/k... thought i'd have some fun with this thread

Hopefully it will be a reasonable price though.
For example $1000 for a stage one would be completely unacceptable IMO.
We all know the cost of a pulley and injectors. The only question mark would be the reflash. I'll take a look at what the rsx guys are paying for their reflashes.
Edit:
Just took a look over at clubrsx.com. The reflashes are about $590. I wonder if this will reflect at all how much the GM reflashes will be.

Sad thing is that I bet it will be right around that price range, plus if you have them install it an additional $300-$500

The reflash should be the most expensive item. If we could purchase it seperately that would be ideal, as I'm sure they are going to raise the cost of the injectors too.
Once we know the injector size they plan to use, I see myself buying them from another company for less.
I also plan to use the SFPH 2.8" pulley instead of the 2.9" GM pulley.

The GM pulley is 3 inches. 77.9 mm to be exact which is:
77.9 millimeters = 3.06692913 inches

More of a reason to use a 2.8"

I wouldn't be surprised at all if stage 1 is $1000, especially if it doesn't void your warranty. If that's the case, psi-fi will be looking even better to a lot of people. Speaking of the psi-fi kit, how it it working for the people that have it? Is everyone still getting some sputtering and/or warning lights?

check it out in the new hotrod magazine, they claim that GM's stage II is a pulley and injectors and will put us at 14-15psi(which alot of guys already have) no HP claims yet though
