I'm going to swap the S1 cams over to the ported head, along with my supertech valve springs. I was just tossing ideas around with the stock cams.

I thought that the Time Attack car was sold at the Barrett Jackson auction a few years ago. I don't know who has it now or what happened from there. Hopefully it wasn't parted out and crushed.
I have seen the Time Attack Car and the 272 Concept a couple times at shows, and they are both awesome and built with quality engineering. My goal with my car was to do that same as you, build it to GM style specs like the Time Attack car, but mine would be the Redline version that GM never did. It has got a LONG ways to go on that though

Well, all that's left to do is remove the upper radiator hose, un screw the tensioner, and drop the chain.
Had to cut the uninstall of the stock head sort today.... had to sign off on the wifes new car
The upper radiator hose looks like it's going to be a bitch to pull off the head.
It has never been removed, and is prob glued on like all the other coolant hoses on the car, haha.
I'm pleased to see the cams and valve springs in such mint condition. The whole valvetrain looked great!

I didnt mess with it much. I tried a quick tug, and saw it didnt budge. Had other stuff I needed to do.
I'll be back at it this Wed.
Glad mine are all new/replaced.
Yeah, I didnt really mess with it. Thought it would come right off, lol.

I'm replacing the guides and chain. I'm also using the arp (mrb) timing chain tensioner bolt set.

Yep, the build book has everything u need to time the motor. Just make sure to follow my cam how to for timing the cam postion sensor. The build book has that part wrong.

They should be fine, but it's still to good check.
My car has low miles, and the sprockets look new. I just want to get the chain and guides changed while I have her apart. Shouldnt have to touch the timing components for a while then.
Haha, thanks buddy

If the sprockets look good upon inspection, than it should be fine to just replace the chain. On a higher mileage engine, it's def good to replace everything for sure.
I'm still up in the air about touching my timing chain. The plastic guide is on it's way to my house though.
I will see where I stand with funds once I get building. Just picked up a new car for the wife. I'm not cheaping out, but I have some other things that need to be taken care of being a married man now, lol.
