Gm Stg II or Intense Stg II?
So I'm so confused! Should I go with GM Stage II or Intense Stage II? I don't care about the warranty issue at all. ORRRRR Should I just go for the gusto and get the Intense Stage 3 or 4?! lol I can't make up my mind! I want my car to be very reliable also....

If you don't care about the warranty do intense stage 4. Do you know someone that has HPtuners? Because their tune sucks. You could save 200 bucks from not buying the pcm. The machined snout is actually good from intense. Save yourself a little grief and it will have the hub on there already for you. Everything else I would mix and match the parts. Intense stage 3 was the first mod on my car. Wish I would have know then what I know now.

ill put it to you this way , who would you want cooking you a whopper , mc donalds or burger king ,answer that question and then ask your self why you would want intense to work on a car that gm built especially if gm has pretty much the same aftermarket

if you do it that way , they should charge you 100 $ or so for a premade tune , 40 $ belt , plus 200 comes out to 340$ installed if you do the labor yourself

Imo
In my opinion......
I would do this
60 lb injectors
Custom tune with HPT
Get your snout machined and pulley from where ever they are all the same
I have GM stage 2 and I love it.
Thing is I am near the threshold of what I can do safely. My injectors are near max duty, I cant add a CAI for fear of thinning out the Air/fuel ratio, and if I added a full custom exhaust I would want a custom tune anyway.
So it you want more hp and torques then what ive got. find another route.
i got on the dyno before and after GM stage 2 and then with my 2.79 pulley.
Stock 206 hp
GM stg 2 239 hp
2.79 247 hp and the guy said he thought he heard my car miss right at the end.
just my 2 cents

Stage 2 is good, but it does run rich. I have it right now and average 17mpg city, 25 highway. It has been reliable, no surges, AC works perfect.
I'm going to switch to the 2.8 + 60lbs injector setup, with a tagracecraft tune. Just want some xtra power

I love my gm stage 2 kit (as well as my other goodies). Sure there are other kits available that will give me more power. Yes the GM stage kit is a little rich, but it is better than running lean. At the end of the day though, I do not have to worry about coming up with $4000 to replace my motor if it blows up. Some of you say you do not care about your warranty, but just keep that figure in your head. If you have a spare 4k to purchase and install a new motor, then run whatever you want. If you do not, then go with the GM stage 2 kit and build upon that. Quite honestly I trust GM's engineering skills more than Intense, Tag, or cobalt-addiction. Keep in mind that GM has been around for almost 100 years. None of the other companies can say that.
