GMPP Warranty

I have a stock 06 SS/SC with about 33k miles on it and I'm getting ready to start doing some performance upgrades. I am also considering buying an extended warranty when I hit 36k. My question is do any of the GM performance parts come with a warranty and will any break my existing warranty? My first upgrade will most likely be the Stage 2 kit, then possibly GMPP extrude honed header and GMPP touring exhaust but I don't want to get anything unless its covered under the warranty.

They will not affect your warranty in anyway.

The new parts wont necessarily carry the same warranty as your car..some parts may only have a year, whereas some may have lifetime...

GMPP warranties for parts only. So, if the belt snaps they'll replace it but if your supercharger goes because of the s2 hub/pulley they won't cover that (not that it would). If you get an extended warranty that's not through GM there's no way they're going to cover modifications to your car...you can try to find one that will but get it in writing; GM extended warranties (through GMAC?) may cover gmpp replacements.

...GMPP stuff won't break your factory warranty as long as the work is done at the dealership, but I don't believe you have to actually buy the gmpp stuff from your dealer for it to be warranted.
