Govener on the Cobalt SS

I know this is probably a dumb question and you guys have probably already answered it, but does anyone know if the cobalt SS have a govener?

i don't know if it has a "govener", but i know it does not have a Governor.

Yeah it does not have one, it is drag-limited @ 143 mph. (which means the engine has run out of sufficient power to continue accelerating)

That is only the SS Supercharged version.

The 2.2L ecotec will never reach 143 mph in stock form.

EDIT: Ok I'm stupid and missed some parts of the original post.

Yes, I have heard somewhere that the engine has a limiter which kicks in at either 143 or 147 mph...

I got going 120 MPH in the Cobalt the other morning. My fuel range dropped from like 85 miles to 73 miles in the space of 30 seconds
