It lives!
Engine sounds good. I have a CEL and a funky idle, but I've yet to peer into the PCM and see what kind of mischief the previous tuner has wrought.
I grabbed some intake manifold detail pics before final mounting it, and I will post them Sunday.

X2 Maf resolution is a pain a butt with Gt 35R's, most people go stand alone and use speed density tuning, which leads me to a question for all the Cobalt drivers in emissions testing states, will this kit pass OBD-II emissions tests? Stand alones usually rule out passing an OBD-II emissions test IIRC.

it took 6mo of continual work to make it happen, and in the end i wasent happy.
the car had to ride such a razor edge, so thats why i did my sc2061rs swap.
theres a few of us who have a nice little sharing circle and we've been able to improve all of our cars thus far.

ThinkTank!!!!
yes sir.
as i've said 100 times....
more then 300hp can be made, yet people call it the limit!!!
when you know the issues the engine has inherently it makes, making power easier

I'd like to know what happened to Dan's motor though, whether it was installer error or something else....

That's what I call bad ass. I was skeptical about turbo swap because i'm not interested in replacing internals, but you and the rest of the turbo guys are proving GM wrong saying it can't go over 300whp safely.

Back to the thread topic now (y'all may wish to start up some new discussion threads for your corollary topics and post links here, I'd like to keep this thread from wandering off in too many directions for the sake of clarity)....
Got it going well now. We're about to take it out for its maiden voyage in 16 degree weather, lol! As an aside...there's not going to be anything stellar to report on HP levels for at least a week or two, as Joe breaks in the new engine and I move to other projects in the meantime.
The tune will not be locked, so adaptability is there for you. We can also sell the system with no tune or related fuel mods, so you can do as you see fit. We will be offering a variety of fuel system levels:
1. Larger than stock injectors with 20G turbosystem (up to 350 HP)
2. PortFueler with 20G turbosystem (up to 475 HP)
3. PortFueler with GT35R turbosystem (up to 600 HP)
The PortFueler approach is rather unique, in that we will be driving four additional port-mounted injectors in addition to the stock injectors. We've made awesome power with this system on numerous applications previously. It's easy to tune and damned effective!
This turbosystem will pass an OBD-II test in all its iterations, for it is not a standalone.
You can count on that, my man. I've seen more shattered dreams and disappointments than you can imagine from people who don't understand this fine point.
Here's some detail of the PortFueler-equipped StreetRace Sheemetal Intake:
Above photos show the complete assembly with PortFueler injectors and fuel rail installed. The manifold is also available without PortFueler provisions for those who wish to utilize a single injector per cylinder in the stock location.
These are CNC machined components: the lower is the cylinder head flange, the upper is the plenum back plate.
This view shows the inside of the plenum, with the radiused port inlets.
The oval runners and CNC head flange fit the cylinder head perfectly. The unit completely replaces the stock intake manifold/supercharger/intercooler assembly. It weighs but a fraction of the pieces it replaces, and its compact size improves underhood accessibility of surrounding components. It's a proven design for high power and equal distribution of air to all cylinders.
