Possibly, but with as many issues as I've seen, I believe it to be a design flaw. I mean, why would they use only 2 bolts on a 3" collector? Hell, the stock GM manifold even uses 3 bolts.

Which is why a lot of guys go through H/Dp Gaskets like crazy as they are prone to just blow out the side seeing as it is a 2 bolt design instead of a Ball and Socket or 3 bolt.

I want 90 minutes of my life back.
Why is everyone hating each other here? ZZP knows their **** in a lot of ways. People bash them for this or that - they've been making sick power for a lot of years, guys. Love 'em or hate 'em, they're an asset to the community, so why risk pissing them off?
Speaking of which - seriously? A few bad apples decide to poke sticks at Area and Qwik for no good reason to the point where Area doesn't want to help people anymore and Qwik is getting short tempered? Two of the biggest assets to the Cobalt/Ion community, period, and you guys want to run them off with some pointless e-bitching?! C'mon. I've had issues with both of them (Area - i still don't know why you jumped in on that, lol) but it got handled okay, and as heated as it got for a second I'm not about to go around bashing either of them. When you get knowledgeable people with proven track records willing to help people out, DON'T **** THEM OFF AND **** IT UP FOR THE REST OF US. Seriously. If you disagree with them over something, don't work with them. Don't **** it up for everyone else.
The turbo **** is off topic, but the GT35R is a lot of turbo for the LSJ. Why not a GT30? With 2 liters to play with, it'd spool a bit quicker and still make crazy HP. I helped my then-friend reach 364 whp on a 2.4 TwinCam with a '30, with a **** tune, too.
After pages and pages, it looks like a stock internal'ed and stock cammed car with a TVS and bolt-ons can get a little over 300 whp on pump gas with the TVS and a good tune. Where's the problem with that? Why is ZZP upset that people can squeeze 20 more whp over their estimate? Zoomer - is that such a big deal? 15% over your accurate estimate? It's not like anyone's claiming 450 whp with nothing but bolt ons, lol.
Whatever. I'll get around to doing my build soon. Fully built 2.2 or 2.4 with a GT35 or 40 pushing a few PSI into a TVS. Twincharging FTW. Or maybe I'm wrong and it'll suck *****. Who cares? One more thing someone is willing to do that might work. Learn from my success or failure. Just like everyone elses.
Rodimus Prime is another example If everyone would untwist their panties and stop hating, we've got a couple different people working to make **** better for all of us. Whether or not they get along, it will benifit everyone - unless the people get run off with BS attacks and arguing and we never get the benifit of their experience, be it success or failure.

timing the car is easy. on the crank gear underneath the timing cover set it to 5 o clock. You'll see a little white dot. You match the pink link up with it and the top 2 set to 10 and 2.
