Heat Exchanger cut-a-away pics

you're just hating cause if you don't have a zzp HE, then you're not going fast and you just like to sit in a parking lot and brag about your parts
you should send in your high $ exchanger and buy a zzp one, it adds 47whp without a tune

Okay. I got it. Listen up! I run single pass with Option B and a Griffin Racing Aftermarket HE in the stock location, with Griffin's unique core design that is proprietary. I beleive it is 100% the best solution. This h/ecan be purchased direct from Griffin in NC for about 700 shipped.
I direct all my customers to them, as I dont want to mark it up.
Here is what Zoomer says about the stock HE:
[SIZE="4"][The factory HE is actually the best pound for pound and in the number of cooling fins. The problem is that it doesnt hold enough fluid; it isnt large enough to keep temps at ambient and is sandwiched in between the AC condenser and the OEM radiator. So it makes sense and gives good gains to add another heat exchanger. Should you run only the aftermarket HE? No, the factory unit is cooled by fans when standing still and performs well for what it is.
/SIZE]
So Zoomer also provides dimensions and volumes for the stock h/e. The racing Griffin is twice the thickness (1.5 inches) compared to stock. Provides all the advantages Zoomer points out.
My data shows it kicks ass.
Single pass also is an excellent improvement using the stock laminova. When you add it all up, for about $1000 plus shipping you can have the best.
For 300 dollars are you getting the best charge cooling solution? According to Zoomer's words, not so much...

The single pass isn't the best solution out there. We've built something better but it won't come to market due to cost. Much like a great HE that no one would buy because it's $700, we have an intercooler solution that outperfomed the single pass. It proved too expensive to come to market. If this kind of stuff intrigues you, I'll do a tech write up about it.

making an assumption, i would say it's a remote mount ice box or cooling system, sort of like what i run on this car:
guessing theirs is a remote system just plumbed into the oem LIM somehow.
hell everyone spending this money on secondary heat exchangers for nothing, you could spend that $ on TDC for the oem heat exchanger and it would provide similar results and you wouldn't have all that junk hanging off your car

my brain hurts. I love ZZP but they don't seem to reward loyalty to their company. it seems as tho there are too many people who need to convince themselves why they bought parts other than zzp. accept the facts, research and state your opinion but stop bashing a vendor for making an accurate statement and providing factual evidence like this thread to support their products. I'll stand by ZZP products as will many others on here.

I'm moving to a killer chiller paired with my single pass with opt. B. I doubt there is anything out there to outperform that. I'll have less than 100degrees IAT's on a 2.5 pulley. I also have a massively ported head now though.

But your probably getting the best setup for the average person and for less than half of the griffin. Is the ZZP the best solution that exists? No. But for the money, you cannot beat ZZP's H/E offering, it has a lot of value based on its cost, performance and quality. Now, I see you guys are holding out on us. There's been a lot interest over the years on improving airflow and cooling through our intake manifolds. Single pass setup sounds like it may be an economically feasible improvement for a lot of people. How much work and money is involved in getting that setup? Have to fab and install two new endplates and run new lines. What else?
Zooomer, what is your something better but costs too much?
