Yeah, 160 is the magic point. Keep your IAT2 <160 and you'll be fine. Back before I did the dual pass, even with 101 octane my car would get knock when the IAT2 got above 160-165. Now that I have both the dual pass and a cobra HE, on a 0-140 run the IAT2 gets up a to a MAX of 165-167. 1/4 mile or 3rd gear run, it will peak at like 115-120

y? they would have to tell u y it voids ur warranty since it probably will have nothing to do with what they'll end up fixing if u take it in fot warranty. if anything it is saving the engine and heat is killing our engine and power and if u go on top end runs then it will not only pull timing it will open up ur boost bypass if it reaches 212 degrees and ur supercharger will only work at 90% until IAT2's come below 207 degrees then u will never reach 158(fuel cutoff) trust me i know how it feels to lose power after my boost selinoid opened up

HMMM.. I'm running stock one and a cobra one, I don't know why you wouldn't run 2. I don't think the heat exchanger alone does lower IAT's much but the Dual pass will. When running the dual pass you may experience some heat soak in your coolant so the second heat exchanger will come into play and keep you coolant temps down.
With HP tuners you can run you after cooler pump all the time. When I'm at the track I leave my car on "ON" and the intake manifold stays cool to the touch and it sucks all of the heat out of the supercharger.
I'm thinking of doing a CO2 cooling system to soak my front mount before a run to get the coolant Cold and My IAT's very close to ambient.

Whenever I get around to doing the cobra h/e I'll also be leaving on my stock one. It's kind of like when people hook up an automatic trans cooler. Some people take off the stock one and just use the new front mount style one. It works better then stock, but if you go through stock first to neutralize the temp a little then through the front one it'll be even cooler. Same way I recommend doing it with our heat exchangers.

When its time for me to do these mods, its going to be option B dual pass install and another heat exchanger for me. Dual pass + extra res + another H/E = lowest IAT's without meth, CO2 or NO2
I think if money is a bitch, it will be dual pass installed first though. I need to get an interceptor so I can see the temp differences though!

i see around 160ish at the end of 3rd at wot with my dual pass setup, temps dropped a bit when i wrapped the hoses, this is with a 2.7 , i hit 180 one night at the track after multiple runs and no cool time, im waiting for my cobat addiction heat exchanger, also doin water injection aswell.

GM does not void the warranty for having a dual pass. When my car was at GM, the tech just wanted to know, who installed it and if i got th rest of the stage 3 kit. This is on an extended warranty no less, where ive heard they are much stricter with you on what u can do with your car.
Also, i would do Both HE and DPE...but to really get your moneys worth i would just do the DPE.
My iat2 dont break 135 at WOT.
I also opted for a custom option B and running something other than dexcool thru my intercooler system.

where do u hook up the additional surge tank to?
from sources, ive heard you disconnect one hose add another and conenct that hose back and mount it to the front and thats all u need to do, and you can also have the choice of keeping both together or removing the stock one completely i heard tops the install for the C/A one was like an hour
