We've had them for Honda's for a long time they work wonders.

Does anybody read the Redline forums? They mount between the frame and the Control Arm. They help to eliminate flex. Redlines had problems with control arm bushings so these are a good alternative. I don't think they will work on Cobalts since we have aluminum control arms.

No downside, if they function like true traction bars they'll just preload the suspension helping to further eliminate wheel hop.

Hardly noticable, the Honda ones I posted completely replace the front crossmember. We use them a lot to give added clearance for downpipes on custom turbo kits or to allow mounting of non stock radiators.

instantly noticeable improvement in straight-line launch on the streets
tires just spin rather than bunny hop n bounce like they were before.

never had much fun launching on the street before due to the risk of hopping. now it's fun!! spinning screeching tires, smoke and burnin rubber! just like at the track!!

sheesh!
I haven't even adjusted them yet......
