Thanks man. It couldn't be much. I don't have any loose plugs, no extra bolts, I've ran it through my head 100 times and everything seems right. I have to be missing something simple.

i know some did leak, but i had some paper towel plugging the holes. i just don't know if any got past it. i'm basically just running distilled water and water wetter. if any got in there i don't think it would be much. just hope all goes well with it. probably going to take it to the dealer though.

well something might have went wrong with install and it through a couple codes....so thats why it wont start after limp mode....what you need to do is you a scan tool and clear the codes...and you would have to prolly clear it more then once...like 3 times before you can start it again...i know sounds weird but i takes a couple times to get all of the codes out...then try again....it might also be a faulty corrupted computer....but i know for a fact that if it went into limp mode it will refuse to start till you clear all! of the codes with a scan tool

thanks guys. makes sense.
pretty sure it's the pcm now. when i called to check on my status kyla told me she was waiting on the pcm to get done but then checked to see if it was ready. i bet something didn't copy over right or something because me and my father in law just went over everything and he thinks i did a great job putting it all together. so it's almost gotta be a pcm issue. as soon as i can contact zzp i;ll let you guys know more. so far they've been excellent.

tim at zzp thinks it almost certainly has to be in the tune somehow. hopefully that solves everything.
let me tell you guys, zzp has really come through for me on customer service. kyla kept in touch with me so well i felt guilty for bothering her so much and tim was very prompt in returning my call and helping me with the situation. i didn't have any issues with him giving me trouble about sending another pcm or anything like that. all of the bad stuff about zzp not helping people with their orders and stuff that have been posted recently has certainly not been my experience. tim even asked me to email him and give him the final results of the situation so he knew what was going on. you just can't ask for better service, imo.

okay. so the new pcm came in today. the car started with it, but it still went directly into limp mode and the rpms bounced between 500-1000 rpm and would not let me use the gas pedal at all. i don't have a code scanner and i live about 25 miles from the nearest auto parts store that'll run a diagnostic. so my question is what should i look for? obviously i missed something in my build, so it would have to be either in the plugs, injectors, fuel rail, or something to that nature i'm guessing. seriously doubting it's anything to do with the blower.
any ideas guys?
oh yeah, here is a total list of my aftermarket performance parts: K&N typhoon CAI, 60# injectors, 2.8 pulley, 1 step colder NGK plugs gapped at .0032, ZZP midlength header and downpipe combo with high flow cat, canned tune from ZZP with 50% boost reduction in first gear.

i think your problem may have been that you didn't unplug the battery when you switched PCM's. personally what i would do is unplug the battery, put your stock pcm back in, plug the battery back up, turn your key to where everything is on (BUT DON'T START IT) let it sit for a couple minutes, then unplug your battery again, switch to the aftermarket pcm, replug your battery, do the same thing then try to start it. thats what i would do. and by chance did you lock your car with your key fob? cause when you do that, thats most likely when the case relearn comes up

Did you pull the blower off to put the 2.8 pulley on? Does the car start up right away or does it have to crank over several times? Did you install all of your listed parts at the same time? Trying to get an idea of what was worked on and what connections or parts could be the problem. I have been there its frustrating and the problem is usually right in front of you.

The codes I have are P0315 and P0118. From what I understand the P0315 code is most likely case relearn. Can someone please explain to me what that is? The other is something to do with the coolant sensor. Any thoughts?

When you perform a CASE (Crank Angle Sensor Error) learn the PCM records the *exact* relationship between the crank teeth and the crank angle sensor - for the current crank/sensor configuration.
It uses that information to detect the small acceleration of the crankshaft at the instant of each firing event. If a firing event does not occur the PCM will not detect the small crank acceleration and will log a misfire. In a new PCM, that memory is blank and it will throw a code immediately indicating that a crank relearn is required.

The CASE learn procedure is relatively simple and takes less than 2 minutes once the engine is warmed up, but requires a Tech2 or other scan tool that has the function built into it, any GM dealer can do it.
