one thing i will comment on.
regardless of my position here, i'm not slamming the eco, its a great little motor.
tough as nails, and came from the factory with some nice beef parts.
however, we as owners, cant shut our eyes and pretended that its the greatest thing since sliced cheese here.l

See, this is where it's easier for the K20 guys. Cause even if we do the head work, we're still behind w/ a far less efficient compressor.

I'm still here.
Hell look at the video on page 4 that John2K5 posted.
He pulled 3 - 4 cars on me in under 2 sconds.
He had a built motor and turbo......and no brakes
The capablitiy of a motor is completley proportaional to the amount of money put into it.
8K huh Area?
Hmmm I can make a car hit 1600hp for 8k.........but I'll only get one run at the track .

welcome to reality.
i'll be your ******* guide.
what happens to a 1600 hp car on the street. it gets hosed by a 600 hp car from a dig. why? because the owner is a moron and completely forgot about suspension and tires. this same sap just blew apart his motor because he was told that his precious stock motor would hold it.
granted 03-04 motors are stout and can handle some serious power. they will not live day to day with 1600 to the crank.
this same special kid also forgot that his stock tranny, clutch, axles, driveshaft, rear end, would hold it.
do you even have a remote clue what it takes to hold 1600 hp to the ground?

I never said anything about running 1600 horses. I said the kit was capable of 1600+ horses. Reading > You

assjockey,
read this slow, maybe you'll then have the attention span and comprehending skills to understand a key point to this little debate.
the eco's do own many records, all held previously by Honda's. None the less the point being that if Honda, as a whole company were to set out with its own development group with in the company and give it the budget that GM-R has, then those records would once again by owned by Honda.
having the backing of a multi-billion dollar company, that has its own internal segment dedicated to racing, makes braking records far more plausible then if you were to do it as a team, just like every Honda recored holder in the past.
this can all be simplified by saying the fallowing.
"if honda backed the teams like GM does now, the tables would be turned here.
he whom has the most cash, wins."
that should sound familiar.
because stg2 is sooooo fast.

And....... When Honda backs its products maybe GM will be heading for the hills, but for now they are not. And in such GM holds the records. No need for the hate, personial attacks, or name calling just cause GM has out spends Honda.
