You're cables came detached. Take apart the middle console and look in there to see what you have... after market shifter?

why wouldn't they warranty it? you hav enot modified it, therefore it is an existing problem from GM. they have to warranty, if not give them hell!

They don't need to take the trans apart for shifter cables. And judging by your 'ca stage 6 kit', they'll throw you right out.

what would a CA stage 6 kit have to do with shifter cabel's? they have to prove that what he did caused the malfunction... moss mag act yo.

It has everything to do with it. Obviously he needed more power, so he 'got' this kit installed.

Thats like saying you put nitrous on a car but don't use it. Bullshit.

And for the record, it's either a) your shift cables or b) the roll pin.

u busted ur shifter pin trust me i have done it 4 times gm is going to come out with a stronger one pm me when u find out what it was but im 99.9 percent sure its the pin and it takes about 4-6 hours to fix it and before ur pin broke did u feel a lot of play in ur gear box

And the roll pin is like a 25 cent part that they get at napa

no.. there was no play in it at all...

i was working(delivering pizza) and i just left the guys house... and turned on a road hit second was fine... then stopped at a stop sign.. back into 1st, and turned on the rd... and then went to engage 2nd.. and nothing there.. so i pulled over, trying to put it back into 1st and then it wouldnt go in.. and i was playin wit it.. Not One Single Gear... not even reverse...

I think its just your cables. Even if you did have CA stage 6 (i thought I read it was coming soon?) shift cables dont take any of that abuse. It would have to be a shifter install or something like that to mess them up. I may be wrong, but the only torque that shift cables get are from your hand, or when you have a gear kick you out (from a bad shift or something)

i have a pretty good idea from the guy that towed the balt this morning that it could possibly be the shift linkage... cause i was looking under the hood while my girl was playin with the shifter.. and saw a gold piece moving and i stuck my hand on it, and moved it around.. and it was loose and popped off.. and the guy said its this linkage... im just really worried that ill have to pay for it out of pocket.. instead of warranty...

You snapped your roll pin. They are shitty and can't stand up to hard shifting. Go to the harware store and pick yourself up a tension pin. they are stronger than roll pins. If you need to know how to install it PM me.

But they 'installed' it for him.

I'd like to know how/where it was tuned.

probably your shift linkage or housing, mine went 3 times on me and then the dealership just replaced the whole tranny for free

Definitely your roll pin. Happened to me 4 times and they finally replaced the whole transmission. Just got it installed 2 weeks ago. Good Luck.
