I agree. The one who will profit should take the risks, that is business.

yes, i agree also. I'm not going to pay for something that might blow my motor up just so a company can make money off it after they made changes. I would however let them play with my car as long as they would insure any damages if any were to develop.

There in this argument lies an interesting piece. If a person never took any risks or stepped out the safe zone, then progress may never be made. I applaud those who are putting their funds towards this for the benefit of the community. I took the risk back in the day with the Clutchmasters clutches and with Rebel's twinscrew. After some heartache and time both worked out in the end though. Yes, I was one of the few that ended up with a final twinscrew, but I did wait the longest and got the endevour going.

^^^Yep, that is it. It was sold of to a certain person on here since I had some other **** that needed to be taken care of at the time. Sad that I put so much into it and had to let it go for about half the price. Type in 2K5SS/SC? on youtube and you can see some videos of it and the first start.

u should drop ur car off to make sure the ecotec manifold fits :p ur 2.2 has the same dimensions as any other eco :p could use the 2.2 flange for a set up on your car, than swap to a lsj flange for the lsj guys, would make no difference in dimensoine etc, just differetn flange

ah ok, yeah i dont think it woudl matter, could unbolt ur current manifold to free up the room needed, than just fit the manifold on there, that would work on making sure everything fits and lines up nicely...

lol yeah. He seems like a pretty good guy, first time ive ever met him. Their shop is kinda small, but it works for what they need.

My car is like ready to start again i just need injectors from a buddy. Finally ready to start it after my rod throwing fiasco

maybe he will cut me a deal on an aluminium intake mani if i let them test fit it on my car.

here is another thought on this to throw into the mix. being heat reduction is the main goal, what about designing the intake to use a composite spacer between the head and manifold to reduce heat transfer from the head. a few years back some guys over on 60degreev6.com (everything from the 80s 2.8l to the newest 3.6l dohc and 3900vvt) tried plenum spacers. it didnt provide much on the dyno being a 3.4l n/a motor making 180hp, however the manifold temps were brought way down. im sure in our application gains would be a more measurable, but its something that would have to be designed into the intake manifold as spacing the manifold 1/2" away from the head isnt an option.

just thought id throw that thought out there.

heat one of the issues their trying to solve here but, the main one there trying to make better with this new manifold is better flow of air to the motor
