just a side note to you Jn2, the automatic cobalts have the engine rotated forward slightly, so the M62 swapped automatic L61/LE5 guys have a little less clearance. The biggest issue is in the pulley area. I am unable to run a pulley larger than a 3.1" on the stock blower /w stock manifold without having to cut into the frame. Just something Vulcan should take into consideration if they change the mounting geometry with the new IM

im interested to see how this works out, i know how our air to water and air to air setups work and how much they cost. would be cool to have a comparison

the positioning of the blower will stay in the same place, cant really move it, than we risk the blower not aligning up with the the rest of the pulleys, or the intake ur currently using not bolting up, so sc position stays the same....

until he gets the manifol in he wont know how to run the cooling system, but like i had stated, will be using one like rebel intended of using, the kind that resemble a oil cooler, im going to talk to him about seeing if we can fit 2 of them in there, once right after the m62 flange, and another right before the collector

I'm glad to see that they'll be using a real intercooler.

same here.
maybe now jn2 can beat me and not lose due to heat soak on his 3 in pulley
haha jk, i'm interested and will def be doing this mod.
vulcan has always been top notch, and i've seem all their products from jn2.
very interested in the real usage of intercoolers and not stupid laminova cores, plus the flow will make it safer for lsjs to use higher boost without having to worry about crappy flow.
im stoked.

ahahah yeah, but ontop of that, i think my 2.25" exhaust is restricting my high end, that and the stock manifold heat soaks damn fast when i go wot

Let's get on the stick here as I would like to see this out before I return from my deployment in October/November time frame.

No one has said anything about air/air. All we said is there going to be using a real intercooler setup!!! This should solve all the cooling problems.

EDIT: The intercooler is located inside the intake manifold and has water flowing through the inside and air over the core. The piece inside the intake manifold is called an intercooler. The piece in the front of your car is the heat exchanger. Maybe that's where you were getting confused.

lol this is water/air, it will have a actual core on the inside flowing water thru it, should provide better intercooling than the laminova cores with better flow
