Yea, it should give a pretty decent idea. Also, when I got to the shop, if I have the U Bend, how do they connect the pipe to the U Bend. It looks like it goes to 2.25 right before the U Bend and then curves up and then goes over the axle. How do I get it to curve up to connect to the U-Bend?

Got my 2.5" axleback done today and I am in freakin love. Damn I just wanna hump it. Anyhoo, just like I suspected the regular Borla Turbo muffler sounds pretty much like SilverSS/SC sound clips, only quite a bit louder due to the smaller case size. I also had a 4" double wall stainless steel tip that was a hardcore 10" long welded on to the muffler. That's probably acting like a megaphone of sorts and amplifying the sound
Thanks to the excellent sound dampening of teh Cobalt, I can't really hear much inside with the windows up and the Sunroof closed. Roll the windows down and give it some throttle though, and it's bliss. It's probably about as deep and throaty as a 4-banger is going to get.
I am completely sold on Borla products from this point on!

after pming back and forth with silverSS/SC, im fairly confident that the Corsa Sport makes similar sound. although the axel-back setup is cheaper, all the local shops gave me the feeling they were going to rape me on fabricating prices.
i ended up with the corsa. i would say it is a bit louder and probably has a slightly higher performance gain. i also have popping and gargling while downshifting or letting off the throttle, but it's not a high pitched ricey popping. i am a lifetime fan of Borla products aswell, btw.
edit: i love how you can 'hear' the exhaust in cabin... but when the windows are down it frickin rumbles. same with the silverSS/SC style setup?

This thing sounds awsome! Love it. nice and clean low tone. when I go ***** to the wall, it still remains clean. Although I have to say that when the car was put on the lift, it was not as simple as you explained, there is a lot more cuting and welding involved then a simple cut weld weld as you explained. there are a few turns before it goes over the axle just to let everyone know who is going to do this. I would put a sound byte up but it sounds just like the others. I recommend this to anyone who wants an exhaust but does not want the fart can sound. By the way I think I lost 25 lbs. just by taking off the stock muffler, that thing is huge!!!! and heavy!!!!

I see where it is, but then, how, about 2 inches after it, where the pipe starts going up, how do you get it to bend up to go to the U-Bend, and then, on the other side of the axle, when the U-Bend is coming down, how do you straighten it out so you can connect the muffler?
