How good is the B Woody top engine mount

How good is the B Woody engine mount? It doesn't look like it would eliminate wheel hop as good as the TTR or the ZZP mount. Anyone have it that can tell me whether it works good or not?

Tranny mounts will eliminate more wheel hop then the top mount. Only get the side mount when you have the tranny ones.

I had them on my car and they helped a lot with wheel hop, but get ready for a shitty daily driver and hope the mounts dont break anything on your car's tranny like they did to mine

That mount was designed to work with one tranny mount also. Get the TRANNY MOUNTS FIRST

Curious on why you are not looking at our solid engine mount?

Over all we have the best package deal price for the complete set (upper mount and trans mount bushings) for the least amount...

Bc I can get a used B Woody engine mount locally for $70, and I'm just trying to find out if it will be functional w/o the trans mount? And I don't have the income for the TTR right now......

Me personally I wouldnt buy a used engine mount. Chances are is that who ever used the mount before used it for the purpose of racing. You never know whats going to be wrong with it. You can check the outside to see if theres any defects in it but, ive seen many people buy mounts that look good but the insides were cracking. Make sure you fully check that mount out and everything.

Well the dealership said the mounts torn my clutch up and it broke a pin that connects the shifter to the gear box after having them in for just one week. I dont know how true the clutch part of it is, but when my car broke down the shifter was deff not connected to the gear box at all, couldn't put the car in gear or even feel where the gears used to be

Any problems with the Engine Mount specifically? Remember, I wouldn't be buying the trans mount; bc the guy doesnt have it for sale, just the engine mount.

YEAAAAAAA they are, i couldn't stand my car for the whole week i had them in there, i was so excited to take them out and put my stock ones back in. **** on my dash would fall like my radar detector, any loose change will vibrate around like those old toy football games, and i used to get headaches from being in the car on long drives. I know you sacrifice ride comfort for performance but they were too much

I have some crazy rattle now with Auto tranny mounts. they seem to be getting a little better as they break in a little. I debated taking them out within like 3 days of having them in. HackAbuse has the same ones in and says they break in some more and the ride gets better. I have noticed that sometimes I start and it has a mellow rumble other times it is a nasty one. If i turn it off and start it again it will mellow out.

I know it has nothing to do with the mount, but it has to do with the vibrations.

how bad did your dash vibrate??? i just filled all my mounts in with devcon flexane 94. lot stronger then what most people use that are in the caulk guns. my change in the center console will vibrate but my dash doesnt vibrate unless im pulling off and i dont give it enough gas. i have absolutely no wheel hop either.

Please Be Specific When You Say You Have Mad Vibs, As Our Do Not Have Nearly The Vibs As Others When They Get About 500 Miles On Them.

It was pretty bad, one of the silver pieces on the dash trim actually came loose on the one side after about 1000 miles lol

I just intalled the bwoody front tranny mount. I love the way the car performs now as in the reduction in wheel hop and increase in traction and shift smoothness. the only downside is there is a considerable amount of vibrations.

to be honest, the vibrations don't bother me so much. My last car was a cavalier that had every possible suspension mod and had full solid engine and transmission mounts and poly control arm bushings. I had CRAZY vibes in that car but after a while you get used to them and then you realize how much the mounts are actually helping you performance and drivability wise.

Its a performance minded car that is also geared toward easy daily driving. Every time you modify your car towards the performance end of the spectrum, you must consider you will loose some of the ease of driving. it is hard to have your cake and eat it too if you want to mod the snot out of your car and keep it riding like stock.

Just my $.02

Holy crap that is rediculous. Thats not your good for you engine bay either. With that much vibes, your going to start breaking stuff. My brother have real solid mounts in his nova, no bushings just a block of metal and he broke 3 shift linkages and broke a couple other things. Too much vibration is bad.

arnt you guys worried about false knock with all these solid mounts you guys are using?
i had a jbp motor mount and i had to take it off due to the fact the car was puilling a ton of timing due to the added vibes....

A solid engine mount will not make the engine knock, nor simulate it to act like it to retard the timing. This is 2 completely differnt things.

I could see this if it was a metal frame to engine, but no way our TTR mount gives off that much vibs...
