Do you not own a camera? I'd kinda like to see your hot rod Redline
And now that you've turned poor Joeys thread into a drag racing debate, would someone with some knowledge please answer Joeys original question on how much 350WHP costs.

yeah theres no point of arguing about this because its all personal preference. but i think for the cobalt to get 350 whp, i think its to hard to get by keeping it supercharged. i went to a performance shop and the guy did alot of research and was well knowledged about our cars. he said the best and most reliable way to get 350whp or plus is either nitrous or turbo. he told me that the superchargers we have produce way to much heat. now i think if the procharger was to come out(not sure if it has been finished yet) but if it was to come out then that might be a good solution to getting 350whp. the twin screw sounds awesome and is producing good numbers but im not sure if it would be reliable at 350whp. if they redline it at 7000 with the 2.9 pulley, they will already be overspinning it. turbo or procharger is probaly the best way to go. does anybody know what is taking so long to get the procharger going???

What are you looking for with 300-350 HP? Are you looking for good track times? If it is track times don't worry about what it dynos at because when it comes to drag racing there are more things than HP to worry about. Pick your goal time and go for that. Even if you had 1000HP you could still run a 20 sec 1/4 mile.

well super smart redline guy i guess you go better tell all the street driven 10-11 sec street driven honda boys fwd sucks for drag racing, seriously can you ever keep your mouth shut or on topic we know you know it all but seriously stfu, fwd may not be ideal but it gets it done, and in most cases it wont cost you very much depending on what route you go.

Drag racing does suck for FWD. That's why i can hit 1.7 60ft's with RWD and street tires and can barely scratch a 2.0 60ft with a FWD with the same tires? If you think FWD is better then RWD in drag racing you seriously need some help. Maybe NHRA should change over to FWD.

watch pinks all out in rockingham and tell me what you have to say about the crx i believe it was that was keeping up with all the v8s. he was running a mid 10 second car. but then again i forgot fwd's suck for drag racing. http://www.nhrasportcompact.com/2006.../m_ladwig.html vs http://www.teamjegs.com/thecars/prostock.asp compare those two and tell me why a rwd is better. the cobalt is not far behind the jegs one. but look at the difference between the engine sizes. theres no replacement for displacement as the old saying stands. now the correct way to say whats best for drag racing is bigger engines are better then smaller engines. not fwds or rwds. 120 ci vs 500 ci and the difference in e.t.'s are only a .62 difference. damn a little 4 cyl is not far from a big block v8. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM discussion closed redline you lose.
