How much boost for stock non modifyied SS/SC?

Mine has been having trouble creeping over 10lbs of boost. I thought it was supposed to be 12.5 So when I took my car back in after getting a new engine on warranty I mentioned that also to be addressed.

I'm kinda irked at my dealer. I asked them to make sure everything works as designed and there are no warranty covered repairs that are needed before giving me the car back. I was assured that that was the case. Only to find that the reverse lights did not work and that the switch panels (window toggles and whatnot.) were still scratched to ****. And I was not making the 12.5 lbs of boost that I should be making. I gave it back to them and got another rental car on there dime. So yet again the wait begins.

I'm kinda pissed mostly about the reverse lights of all things.

With WOT at about how many RPM's on average have you noted spiking out the 12.5lbs of boost? Is it pretty immediate and noticeable at around 3.5 to 4.5k RPM?

Thats about right, it goes right up to 10lbs and then after 3.5k it goes to 12.5lbs

Thanks guys I appreciate the responses. If search was working for advanced searches I would not have even asked.

I really want to do stage II but now I need to break in the new motor first and make sure everything is on the level.

If you are still breaking in, it won't go over 10

yea well I am getting it looked at. If they tell me the same thing I will bring it back in again after the "breakin" period. (not even a month for me) Last time I waited for that I never got the boost in 20k miles. So I am having it checked now.

You'll get full boost right around redline, a little less in the high rpms.

CobaltSS is this from personal experience? So far I have two answers here. Would like to narrow it down.

Yes, you'll probably hit 10 psi at the higher rpms and then right around 6000-6500 rpm creep up to around 12-12.5 psi. Hard to watch when your paying attention to the road and just about to shift but that's about how it should be.

Dallas Texas.. not a very high location at all. They tested it and said it is making the boost it is supposed to so that is good I suppose.
