I am having problems with k&n cai......
hey me and my dad put on the cai today and we doublbled checked the maf to make shure we put it in rite. the arrow is suppose to face down rite? cause we tried other way but the screw holes wont line up so i hope i put in right, we drove around for 10 minutes but cell stayed on. Also when you rev the car in nuetrul it revs fine but after it comes back down it goes up on its own slowy then back down to 1k the normal. Any help would be great. Also i used the screws from K&n so i know thats not the problem.

The part about the rpms jumping up then coming back down is 100% normal. I don't know if it has to do with the electronic throttle or not, but mine does it as well.
Arrow should face in direction of airflow as said. Good luck!

did you make sure that you put in the screws that K&N gave you? that can be a problem, the sensor is really sensitive. if that doesn't work. disconnect the battery for like 10 min then reconnect it then drive it around for a while then turn the car off then back on. i'm just saying what i did to get the CEL off.

Did you disconnect the battery when you put in the intake? I heard that sometimes its normal for you to pull a code from this and it usualyl goes away after a few days or so.

I was reading in some other posts that disconnecting the neg terminal on the battery isn't necessary for new cars that on old cars you had to do that? Which is right?
