Wink I have a question reguarding the g85 package.

I was wondering, when i go and purchase my cobalt which im planing on doing real soon, should i get the one with the g85 package, since it offers limited slip, and the performance seats which i really like,or does it really not enhance performance much...Im currently driving a 1995 200sx SE-R,and it has limited slip and i really like it,especially when someone wants to race me from a turn like at a stoplight, and it also gives you more grip in the rain, and i heard the cobalt has traction problems so i could kinda see limited slip helping a little so,what do you guys think, thanks for all the helpful advice,THANKS.

Go with the G85, if your getting a 07 your not going to get Recaros anyway, that opt. was deleted this year

The G85 package is quite nice, especially the Recaros. You can still manage to get the recaros, but it has to be an early 07. The later 07 models do not have recaros, I believe they are heated leather seats.

I think they do. But yeah, the G85 is great even if you only get the limited slip, helps alot with torque steer... When i go WOT I only get minimal torque steer with my lsd, very nice.

mine does not have the g85 but my buddies 07 does, it even has the recaros lucky him. and you can definately tell an imediate difference in the way the car reacts under heavy load especially in a corner. but i can take or or leave it. its alot harder to effeciently drive the car fast in the corners with out it. for me it makes it more of a challenge which is always more fun. and with some common sense and some basic driving ability it not rly hard to launch or corner without it.im a rwd guy so a front drive that spins tires all over the place helps me cope with driving afront drive car most of the time.

but if i were buying a new cobalt ss/sc i would have to say i would get the g85. its worth it since a quaiffe lsd is like 1200 bux plus labor to install and with the g85 you get the lsd and recaro seats for 1500 cant beat that (if your lucky)

I regret not waiting to order one with the G85. Even without the seats it is worth the money for the LSD. If my wheel is slightly off center and I go WOT the inside tire starts to spin bad. It really sucks when I get on it turning into traffic.

If you plan on driving "spirited" is is worth it. If you plan on using i as an easy daily driver that can get up and go when you need it to, then you could probably live with out it.

Go with the G85 no matter what. It is fun from what I have seen( my buddy has a ss/sc w/o G85) and it will help your resale value if you intend to sell it.

the G85 IMO is not a huge step up from the regular ss/sc; however, for the value of it I would say go for it. it is way cheaper than having to eventually having to do it if you plan on highly modding it

Exactly.

G85 package from Factory= $1,500
LSD from Quife direct = $1,4995 + shipping + ~$500 install
LSD from dealership = $3,200 + ~$500 install (from what someone else was quoted)

G85 for $750! Go for it. You can't afford not to IMO.

Yeah I really like the Recaro seats too. Wish I would have waited and ordered the car rather than buying the one on the lot.

Some 07s have the Recaros (I am one of the lucky few who got them with the G85).

What he said. If you plan on modding it, get the G85. If you can get the recaro's buddy, for god sakes get them!! They are a piece of heaven even if they dont look as nice(my opinion)
