I need some input?

Ok so im a senior in high school and im looking to do some mods to my car. I already have the aem intake ordered for my 2.0 SS S/C and im not sure what i should do next. I really want to get stage 2 and for 550 its seems like a great deal. I recieved a price of 212 for the installation where i bought my car and everything. Question is should i install the stage 2 kit or spend 500 on a catback exhaust. I dont really know what to do and im confused. I have about 1200 to work with until im out of school and working in the summer. Im just looking for some advice as to what i should do if you were in my situation? Thanks everyone.

I agree stage 2 of the two is more worth while. Exhausts that are name brand are too much money for all the more you gain.

mucho agreeo, stage 2 will give way more gains than just a puny catback, plus the car already sounds kinda sweet from the start

Yea Ive been leaning towards stage 2 the only thing is i hear of problems with the tune and Im not sure if i want to ruin my brand new car so soon. In the end im probably going to end up doing both the exhaust and stage 2 it just depends which comes first i guess.

never heard about the tune being bad...just how people drive their cars...if it is tuned right you don't have a problem...just driver mod

Get the stage 2 kit. It is a completely different car once you have that installed. Just make sure you get the tools back that come with the kit in case you want to change out the pulley later. The only way to get them is to buy the kit.

Stage2 FTW dude. You'll love it.
I had my dealer install it because I dont trust myself with that much of an install yet, this is my first car to own myself and I dont want to f- it up.

And, it'll put you in your seat

rocco, you should do the stage II like Im doing. Im a senior in highschool as well and just put the AEM on a week or so ago. Im ordering stage 2 as well. I want the car to be able to back it up before it sounds like it can . I plan on getting Magnaflow Exhaust in about a month or two. Im almost in the exact same boat as you except Im workin to pay off the car as well at the moment (and for the next 4 years). If you're anything like me, you appreciate the warranty on the new car and are probably going to stick with the gm stage kits as opposed to the others until warranty is expired.

Unlike everyone else telling you what to do...I'm going to ask you a question...

What are you looking for out of your car powerwise?

Well seeing that it is my daily driver except in the snow I want around the 245-260 range. Im looking for that extra punch that puts you back in your seat and you stay there lol. I dont want to go any higher than that range because then i will need to install a new clutch not to mention mine already does slip a little. The 250 range is def nice for me. And I have many challengers here in rhode island. I know this kid with a turbo jetta done the right way, then a 95 5.0 mustang my friend, another 4.6 mustang, sti, srt-4's all over the place. I want that extra power to run with them even tho ive beaten a couple already.
