I think I made a mistake

Okay, I'm kinda in between jobs and the money isn't flowing like it's going to here in about a month or so but...

Instead of getting a cat-back I just had Master Muffler slap on a magna flow muffler replacing the stock one...all stock piping just new muffler.

Obviously it was still restricted but it sounded okay and I was happy.

Today I get the bright idea to have them take off the resonater and just slap a piece of straight piping to replace it. Hmm...

Now I have this god awful rasping sound in the middle of my exhaust when i'm between 5 psi and 8 psi of boost. Perfect....I sound like an 89 civic with a fart can....

My question: Since this sound gets less and less noticeable after driving, is it some sort of sitting exhaust in the pipes i.e. water or leftover gas....Is this a noise I'm going to have to live with until I get cat-back or will it go away and it's only making this sound because it's bran new.......????

Please help I went from sounding okay to sounding like **** in 20 minutes and 2 1/2 feet of pipe...

Maybe you found the resonant frequency of your exhaust...

If that was true I would think that it the exhaust would go through a few seconds of being deafening, just like a bandpass bass box... This sounds more like a.....ah it's hard to explain.

It's an extremely metallic rasping sound.
