lol

does nitrous make any noise? nope

can it be hidden? most definitely

you surprise the **** out of someone when you pull 6 cars on them when you were dead even on the previous run? priceless.

That sounds like a better idea than nitrous to me. I too would like to know how much that would cost to be done on a cobalt head.

because you are scared of nitrous? you want a cylinder head done right with good valvesprings and a good valve job/porting. expect to be out of pocket roughly $1700 especially after all the hardware/gaskets/etc needed for install

ya ported heads are not cheap, trust me, but they are real sleeper, stock muffler is to restrictive if you start flowing some serious air.

damn, cost me $1500 for my full ZEX kit, but then again i have to tap into 2 intakes. My kit includes 10lb bottle, bottle heater, window switch, purge kit, 2x foggers, 6x braided lines (8 if you include the -4AN fuel line and nitrous line), 2x foggers (50shot into each intake), blow down tube. presure gauge and other random pieces.

ok here is the plan. keep the stock exhaust and get an electronic cutout. now its sleeper when the cops are around and nasty when you wanna race.

get the nitrous kit cause its insane power on tap, and you can hide everything

get the ported head will give great gains on top of everything else. im sure you can find the head and nitrous all together for under 1500 used. the cutout is 150. so your looking at under 2k for +-400hp that no one will know you have

so that $500 turns into how much when you are filling the bottle every weekend? yes it costs more upfront to do the port job but in the end it will cost you alot less.

i pay 3.50 for a gallon of real methanol. granted its rating is about 120 octane there are higher octane ratings for meth but i live in springfield mo. meth is a great mod. cooling properties and better timing gains come from meth.

Hah.^^

If its your daily driver, I personally wouldnt do nitrous. Though without it you wont have much of a fast sleeper. You can do the normal pulley drop and what not but your not going to be above the mid-high 200 hp range.

nitrous isnt dangerous if you know how to use it and its hooked up right. Having a turbo or supercharger is more...well i wouldnt say dangerous but puts more stress on the engine then nitrous.
