I Went To The Dark Side With A Gen 3 Motor

I'm curious because I need a short block for an LSJ and if I don't have to swap out pistons I can save a significant amount of work that way. Although I will be beating the motor pretty hard so I'm not against putting stronger pistons in off the bat. I will be on E85 though, which allows a lot more shenanigans without damaging stock parts.

Paintballerr78 on here lives near Bismarck and is good friends with Taylor. He's got an LNF bone stock bottom end with a 5557 that dyno'd 476/436 and has been running it for quite a while now. I got to drive it when I was in Bismarck. The thing is a beast. With a solid tune I don't think the pistons will be an issue unless you start to surpass the 500 mark. E helps a ton for sure.
If I can stay with the DI pistons, I get the engine and pop my LSJ crank in and carry on. If not I gotta shell out a lot more to get pistons/rings, have the block prepped, etc.

In for results. I was looking to go turbo this year and then my winter car blew up so my funds went to another beater instead. I was thinking of the 256 et but the 252 et looks like a formidable option after further research.

I wish I could've afforded to have gone turbo on my car. That's why I sold my TVS as well. I'm in for some numbers.
Like you, we don't have the availability of E85 to make power like others do
