ic pump problem; going into limp mode.
ok my ic pump i thought was shot bc in the filler neck it stopped bubbling while the car was idling and once the car got warmed up if i ever floored it above roughly 4500rpms it would say engine power reduced and go into limp mode. So i got a new bosch ic pump and just installed and and right after it was in the coolant in the filler neck was bubbling so i took it for a sping, redlined a few times to make sure it was good to go and everything went ok. well now the coolant in the filler neck isnt bubbling again and it goes into limp mode above 4500rpms. any other ideas? i dont think the pump could be bad. When the car is on and i feel the new bosch pump it feels like is vibrating but at the same time the entire car is bc its on so im not sure.

i have meth coming in at 13psi and a front mount heat exchanger, but that wouldnt be helping if the ic pump isnt working. and it only does it when the car has been running for like 15 minutes aka hot enough for the coolant in the lines thats not flowing to get hot.
plus is still doesnt explain why my ic pump is not working. again.

well bubbling is a sign ,but have you tried the straw in the filler neck for any movement? and I also highly doubt the ic pump would put you into limp mode because mine has gone out before and never went into limpmode just pulled timing up top at WOT during hpt logs.

^gotchya thanks. and yeah im dreading taking all the plastic crap off to get to the map sensor. kinda pissed since its so damn cold out right now. im going to go get my codes read and see what that says then go from there. thanks guys. BTW what should i clean the map sensor with?
nvm, was confusing MAP sensor with MAF sensor. i prob should check my MAF sensor too though i guess.

the scip is the MAF(Mass Air Flow), it is located at the end of the intake, your gonna have to take out the headlight and the driver side fender well to get at it or you may just be able to remove the headlight and the headlight bracket, i dont remember.
But i have seen limp mode caused by loose or bad connections on teh MAP and the MAF, the MAP is teh sensor located on teh top of the blower, cant miss it, just check the connections and such.
