Installing Dual Pass. Intake Manifold Gasket Reusable?

I'm installing dual pass, heat exchanger and option b this weekend. I totally forgot about getting an intake manifold gasket. Havent gone to the dealership yet, but worse case situation if i cant get one, is it reusable? The instructions on crate engine depot say if the gasket is damaged replace. So am i able to reuse it if it's not wrecked? Is it a metal gasket?

Thanks

Yeah, it's a metal gasket, and re-usable unless you mess it up badly. I've installed a bunch of dual-pass endplates and never had to change one gasket, you should be fine.

i would recommend getting a new one, they're only $12 or so iirc. they're crush gaskets so once it's used, the pinch roll is flattened.

True, down here they are cheap. As you said though, Canadia gets screwed on that part.

I reused mine on my engine probably 4-5 times without issue. Just clean it well and torque the manifold evenly and in a pattern, you should be fine. Just hang it somewhere when you take it off so it doesn't get bent up.

Other option would be a light layer of Copper-kote or any other gasket sealer stuff. It is a metal gasket, so it'll never be the same once it's been compressed and released.

One other thing, the earlier (prior to '07 I believe) ones were a slightly different design, the newer ones are an updated part. If your car is an '05 or early '06, i'd consider getting a new one for the updated gasket design, if it's possible.
