Intake with gmpp mods without voiding warrenty

I am about to go crazy and buy just about all the gmpp products for my 05' cobalt SS/SC. I don't want to void my warrenty of course. But, here is my question...........If I have the dealer install the gmpp manifold, performance cat-back with tip and stage 2, How is all of this going to breath without installing a cai?????

Im pretty sure that they will still cover your warranty even if you put on a aftermarket cai. After all a cai is pretty simple. If you still don't want to change it, then just do that airbox mod...

But, what happens when you do have a problem?

well then its ur problem afterwards.
As long as you don;t drive through big puddles and such you should be fine. Rarely hear anything about intakes causing problems.

The don't say anything until something breaks.

Anyway, will all these parts perform better or worse without the cai??? Could anything be damaged if I don't put in the cai???

Does anybody have just the gmpp mods done...............how do they feel all together like this???

They will all help, but the guzz in has to equal the guzz out. Get an intake to match your exhaust mods. I have all but the header and have no probs and I too have taken my car in for engine service and warranty work with ho hassle. It is the burden of the car company to prove that your intake caused the problem if you ever encounter one (which you won't other than a possible MAF code).

Well it really does depend upon the dealer. Like the local one here for example. Took my car in last week for an oil change. The guy had to write on my valve cover with a sharpie how much oil the car took. I have a 3" ZZP pulley on there right now and he looks down at it. So im like **** there goes the warranty. Then the guy says "damn they are puttin some nice factory parts on these cars now days." What a moron.

Get a cai. Put it on yourself. If you have any warranty work that needs to be done, take it off and put the stock airbox back on and take it in. After it's done put the cai back on. Takes about 30 min - an hour.
