I have Stage 4 and love it! I've had no problems at all with it. I put down 261.5hp and 243.4tq with just Stage 4, intake, and cat-back. I would say it's more than worth the $675. The only thing is I highly recommend letting them dyno tune it.

I have the Stage 4...............

If you have not driven a staged cobalt yet, it will make you shed a tear! I would HIGHLY recommend a ported blower and a dualpass intercooler.

I make about 270whp with my setup.........pure hapiness but that is with my own tuning. Their cookie cutter tune is nowhere near as good. Have them dyno tune it to get the most HP otherwise you will see about 250whp

from what i hear the limp mode is common among intense tunes. id check to see if they have fixed this issue before they do your tune.

I have had my S4 kit on for quite some time now. I love it, but I am still going to get a custom tune in the spring. I am seeing a lot of KR with their tune

I had Intense tunes on my cobalts for a long time. They sucked! I had 2 identical cars with the same mods dyno'd 15 minutes apart on the same dyno and one put down 40whp AND 20wtq more!

WTF is up with that?!

Not to mention I would throw lean codes all the time, and my car would sputter and die while driving.

Im so confused. I had intense send me a binary file made from HP tuners so that I can safely use my 60lb injectors and a 2.6" pulley. Should I ask for my $$ back? Is it safe to go to a shop and have them upload the HP tuners file intense sent me???

Quite simply, you will need a retune after you flash the Intense tune anyways so might as well just get a tune.

careful with intense tunes they seem to max out the tune they give you, so in better conditions there have been leaning out issues

I've had no issues with the Intense tune. Then again, I had my car dyno'd after installing it and we made a few tweaks to it.

ok so this is an old thread that im going to bring up from the dead, Thinking about getting the stage 4 already came to the conclusion i want it. Questions i have are, does it come with the ecu and a machined snout or do i need to send my stuff in? ALSO since i dont live near intense how easy is it to get a local place to tune this using there pcm? In the future if i wish to change out pullies would the 60lb injectors be a good set or would i have to upgrade those. Reason i want to go with the 4 is because im under the impression that it comes with the stuff and that i can lower the pully down hopefully using all available parts

Anyone with HP Tuners can tune the Intense PCM. You would have to send yours in or swap yours out with one of theirs(this is pointless, get the kit installed and custom tune the same day) You would have to send ur snout in for machining. yes the 60lbers will be plenty. If you go lower then a 2.7 you really should get some cooling mods.

Stage 4 comes with the machined snout but you have to send yours in for the core charge. I just went with billetflow's red pulley. It looks better and does not require you to machine the snout.

regardless of which kit you buy you really should get a new tune.
