intermediate shaft
so can that well known gm problem with the intermediate shaft/steering column popping noise be ignored...or will this eventually cause a problem..i have no warranty so hoping i can ignore it if its not dangerouse or problamatic

does nobody know anything on this...nothing puts me in a grumpier mood than when something is not right with my car...its so frustrating to just drive around ..any imput please...

Per a tech in back in the shop. the intermidiate shaft was not lubed properly at assembly. It will need lube when you can get it done., it's prolly rusted like mine. I'm doing mine when i get the stage 2 axles. You'll be alright for a bit. But when you get an oil change done have them check it.

the intermediate shaft clunking is covered under a TSB, if you take your car to the stealership they will order a new one and replace it free of charge. i've had mine replaced already and it took about 4 hours or so to get finished with the job.
i can get you the TSB number if you want, but the dealership will have to verify it anyway.
