istalling your own cat back

how difficult is it to take off the old exhaust and bolt up a new one would you guys recomend doing it your self it dosen't seem to hard plus it woul save me about 80 bucks too

It doesn't take that long if you have the right tools. You need a reciprocating saw or sawzall to cut the stock exhaust off. You can definitely do it in under an hour. There are a couple how to's on here also.

Yeah, what he said. This is probably one of the simplest mods you can do. I have very little experience with cars, and I did it in a very short time.

I say go for it. You will save $$ and have a great feeling of satisfaction when you get it on, and even more when you go WOT. Good luck.

but i thought that its all just bolted on why would i have to cut anything????

You have to cut the stock exhaust behind the back axle next to the muffler to be able to get it off because it has to go through the axle.

oh i see but then after that the after market cat back can just be bolted together right??

You have to cut the exhaust at the rear, thats how our exhauts are, they bolt to the stock d/p, and from there its welds, so you will have to cut it, its very simple install a catback, grab a ratchet and a 10mm, and a saw and your there.

if you are getting a 3 inch, such as vibrant, you have to drop the rear axle. unbolt both shocks, unbolt both calipers. drop it down

its three peices not 2 like the vibrant

I have had many different exhaust systems on my car and never had to do any of that with a 3inch.
