Jbp or Dc sport headers?
I'm kinda caught in between purchasing headers. The Jbp headers sound incredible, but the dc sport ceramic look nicer. Anyone have any thoughts or exp with these headers?

with the cheap price of badmab right now, i would say that over pacesetter any day. i hear the pacesetter tends to leak with the 2 bolt flange.
but seriously, jbp has a pretty bad reputation here. i have only heard one member on here talk good about the header and he was a form over function kind of guy. too bad you cant see the header without looking behind the engine

the early JBP vortex (noodle) headers were good. they went downhill during the Group Buy. i had the first one ever sold to the public. it was the **** and sounded fantastic. if youre getting a JBP header find one used. make sure you get plenty of pics. the ones that hurt you have really choppy bends in the tubes. and where the tubes come together were all fubar'd if its got smooth bends you're golden. i dont reccomend using the JBP header if you plan on making any kind of real power because they only habe 1 5/8" primaries. i almost wish i wouldnt have gotten rid of mine when i had it on the cobalt. i would run it on my daily driven IRL. if yur gonna drop some coin on a header get the ZZP midlength combo or ZZP Long tube.

i was thinking about getting this bad mab header with a zzp offraod 3" down pipe that reduces into a 2.5" flange...... so that i can get a corsa catback to bolt on to the zzp dp... do u think that would work? lol

Jbp was awsome I sold mine cause my cosuin gve me his vibrant setup. If u go shorty header go jbp (period) if u go midlength go zzp or vibrant. And if u go longtube go zzp or ottp. Don't mix and match

not at all. ive heard that even with a catless dp into the corsa touring exhast is not raspy. but thats hearsay of course. hopefully someone with an actual account will chime in. i think its pretty unanimous that badmab shorty and zzps dp is the best bang for the buck on non lnfs

not really custom just need to modify the top flange, chop off, reweld. any competent shop will do it.

I personally can't believe that anyone still considers buying anything from JBP. How short some peoples memories are and how the saying "there's a fool born every minute" is so true. If you waste any money buying from JBP you will regret it. Trust me, I know more than anyone. And if it wasn't for my project car eating all of my cash, I would buy a new header and sell the JBP one that is on my DD. Sure it sounds cool but I would rather have the power.

Its what I did, only I'm running the GMPP cat-back. I run decent times and make good power for my mods. It might make a couple more HP if I went with a full 2.5" cat-back, but as long as she's running as good as she is and keeps sounding sexy, I'm going to stick with what I got. In other words, the badmab, catted ZZP 3" into 2.5", and cat-back of your choice is an excellent set-up.
