I think the a/c recharge will be the most expensive thing lol. fast98 and OTT will do well with this. Can't wait for it to come out.

The kit will include.

Killer chiller unit
10ft. of a/c hose
all the clamps and unions for the a/c hose
10ft of 3/4 heater hose and stainless clamps
Aluminum mounting bracket with stainless hardware

IC temp gauge is optional price on it is $65

Price will be $575 and there will be a group buy price.

How does the sensor for the gauge mount?

Forgot to mention: you guys should really start offering replacement intercooler pumps.

Does the mounting bracket option fit just the Cobalt or a RL also? Or does it not matter

It should fit both. I haven't tested it on the RL but from pics it should not be any problem.

If you really want to take advantage of this kit, you need to run the largest reservoir you can, Having more fluid essentially yields a larger thermal mass. I've seen customers drop another 15 degrees in their down stream temps simply by switching to a large aftermarket IC tank using this kit.

Also, it is very important to insulate all of your lines, that means you’re A/C and IC lines. You can pick up 6 foot sticks of foam insulation for around $3.00 at any hardware store.

So an option b kit (with the larger tank), another h/e, and insulating the lines will help the Killer chiller net better drops in temps, aside from what those things help drop temps by themselves anyways, right?

Correct. We are currently making a aluminum holding tank that is bigger then the option b and gives you actual flow.

Yea, sorry bud. I was super excited about the killer chiller especially since I was one of the 3 members that bugged Joe Kincaid to offer us one. But I haven't been impressed by the "testers" at all. Still no data (there may be a tad bit of info released in just 1 thread) and they still aren't available to buy. I really wish I could have been home instead of deployed, I would have been a tester and this kit would have already been up for sale, MONTHS ago.

Yea being in the "box" sucks....using the 20 min limit on the mwr computers usually leaves you in the dark on the newer products. It's hard to believe I own a 2006 SS/SC w/12,000 miles on it! Gotta love 15 month deployments huh!

Also the price on the website right now is the sale price. There will be a groupbuy price as soon as I have all the brackets made.

Yeah...two problems with this (in my opinion). Aluminum-->will conduct heat from the coolant and the engine bay. Plumbing-->at least on the redline you pretty much have to have the i/c hose near if not on the radiator hose which heats up like a ****. You could probably avoid that by routing it different but that's what I noticed.

There will be instructions added to the website. It's actually very easy to install. hardest part is removing the bumper and the fuse block.

Also option b is about a month away. It got pushed back do to some new cam blanks for the lsj and a new 3" intake for it.

Thats why you insulate the lines and tank.

Right on glad to hear there is progress. I'll probably wait until the bigger tank as well. I wanna try to get everything at one time. The car is in the body shop right now, so hopefully by the time it comes out everything will be ready to order! Keep us updated OTT. Thanks a lot
