like I said, I don't have 5800 laying around, and I'll bet I run faster times in the 1/4 mile than you ever will think of in your cobalt with far less money and still supercharged.

Lets do a sig bet then. Go to the track, beat my time as it is now. I'll change my sig to whatever you want. Killa SS is the shiz nit, the GOD of all, whatever you want. When I beat that time when I get back from my deployment, you have to change yours. I'm not talking about trap speed, I'm talking about e.t. Beat a 13.6 first, then you'll have to go 12's to beat me again.

I'm not worried about it. I've proven myself and backed up my mouth. We'll see if he can back his up now.

x2 It is especially bad if you have had the a/c already when you start the car.

For instance. Yesterday I turned off the car with the a/c still in the on position(which I rarely do). When I restarted the car while the a/c was still in the on position, the rpms were bouncing from like 400-600 up to 2500 or so. Did this for like a minute before the car figured out what the hell was going on.

cuz everyone knows, cooler intake temperatures do not mean lower chances of pre-detonation, which limits the amount of fuel you can put into the cyclinder at a time.... right?

OBVIOUSLY not the reason forced induction cars tend to use intercoolers to lower intake air temperatures...

and also.... why the hell buy a supercharged SS to remove the supercharger???

Here's an update on the progress of the Killer Chiller!

Joe,

How is the R&D for the Cobalt SS version of the Killer Chiller.
I know it has only been a couple days, but I'm anxious to see how well it performs on our cars. When do you think it will be available to buy?

Brad Cain

Brad,

I'll have two systems available. One is a budget minded kit that I will have ready sometime next week. At that time I'll ship the kit out to be tested, then will test an advanced KC kit. I'll definitely let everyone know when it's ready.

Thanks for your interest.

Joe

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Joe,

Thanks for your super quick response. Much appreciated. Just one more question and I'll leave you alone. Lol. What's going to be the difference between the budget and the advanced kit.

Thanks,
Brad Cain

The budget minded kit will probably be worth 60-65 degree IC coolant temps, and the advanced kit will be worth 45-50 degree IC coolant temps. The budget kit will be very affordable.

Sounds like a nice improvement in temps. I wonder how much hp/tq you would get running a 2.7" pulley; 60lbs inject. ; HE ; meth??? 45-50 IC is awesome....

a nice improvement is underrated. Stock SS/SC's don't even have less than 100 degree IAT's. Getting down to 45-50 degree IAT's is going to be HUGE. Look out SS/TC and other turbo cars, the SS/SC now has a secret weapon.

Another email, UNBELIEVABLE INFO!

Those numbers could change based on the efficiency of your cars A/C system, so we'll know more after the initial testing, but that's what I'm shooting for. We just tested an advanced KC kit on a lightning yesterday, and it was worth 45 degree IC coolant temps cruising around town on a 88 degree day, and 60 degree coolant temps on the freeway at about 80 MPH. The lightning has Cams, headers, stock Eaton at 18 psi. The HE will impose a huge load on the IC system at freeway speeds.
