Well don't totally knock that. Area47 made 375 ish on posted head only stock cams, out of fuel. I think it can be done properly set up. I'm actually trying for it that way.

Ahhhh OK. So your set up definitely still had room for improvement. Exhaust size piping is OK but those mufflers are definitely hurting you. But full 3" would just be easier to pick out. More aggressive cams, bigger intake and more fuel that 400 mark would easily be passed.

Oh yeah i agree. I was trying to score some bigger injectors for dyno day to throw on my 2.6"

Buut given the findings of how high boost/rpms can kill lifters maybe im best sticking with a safer setup too.

I know going catless and 3" would help... But its a street car and i love how it sounds as is. I like hearing myself and the blower instead of a loud ass exhaust.

So idk. Im sure something will pushbme to oush further eventually but dor now? Im set.

I wouldn't try fixing what isn't broken. 380 is a LOT for a dd stock bottom end.

Hell yeah it is.... It's more than enough.

Half the kiddies on here can't even harness or use that power to their benefit other than saying zomg wow look at my dyno numbers!!!

I've read that there's a station that sells E85 somewhere in between Guelph and Cambridge. That's only an hour away from you. Do what I just did, go down with a 55 gallon drum, fill it with E85 and cut it with pump gas and run E47 so it lasts longer with lots of the same benefits.

Nice work Rice and Alan! Glad to see its paying off for you man. Gotta be a great feeling after sticking with it through it all. I had a ton of fun when my car was on pretty much that same setup and power level.

Does the gasoline help the ethanol last longer? My experience with letting e85 sit around wasnt good.

Get a good sealing tank and it's fine. You just dont want it open to atmosphere moisture in high humidity areas.

I'm highly considering picking up a tank myself. Looked around and a good tank is only a few hundred so it may be worth it...

Any idea how well it keeps? I only burn up 7 gals a week on reg gas so I'm thinking a 30 gal should hold me a month maybe grab a bigger one depending

Make sure they're HDPE (high density polyethylene plastic, normally a blue drum or white and it should be stamped into the plastic or raised from the mold)
