I may be keeping the balt for a little while. Not gonna be back up and running in stock form for a good little while and I'm not in any huge rush to get rid of it; the partout just happened fast and therefore as a seller I have to make moves on tearing it apart and getting the parts out.

I'm gonna take my time putting it back together really nicely, good as I can, and run it around to make sure it's all up to snuff, as when I sell it i want it to be in tip-top condition still. I purchased a oem catback with 5000 miles on it and the rest of the parts I've gotten so far seem to be pretty mint.

Anyway I should be driving it this spring atleast; cars like this don't sell very well until spring/summer anyway.

Might I ask what brought this on?

You finally get your set up running good and almost immediately part it out?

Lmao i know i know. It is true adam.

Maybe partially its because yeah ive basically done everything to this car that i can do and well you know the saying how when youre dating a girl its all fun while youre getting to know her but once you know her you get bored and start thinking of other women? Lol

But more so its because i need to reallly focus on saving up for a house for my girlfriend and i. And unfortunately, much as i literally love this car, it is a massive money pit that i lost control of my finances over. I know if i keep it i will never quit dumping money into it. So i had to take a step back and realize that.

I was close to thinking i could be one of those guys who can hang onto his racecar and still get a house and all that but its a really tough thing to do. Mayyyyyyyybe if i play my cards right and save all the dough i make from parting it out i can just drive it around stock and save money. After all i just paid it off so im already gonna be able to save 300 a month. And then if im not modding it then like another 300 a month lol

Last thing i want people to think is that im leaving the community. Im still gonna mod and probably log in every day. Still gonna build headlights. Still gonna go to the meets. Still a car guy. Not getting rid of this to get an evo, not getting rid of this because its gonna blow up. Just becoming more responsible. But still trolling

Yeah, if i knew I could be good with my money I might have been able to do it but I'm just not

Feels good that Ive been able to re-coop a lot of money though already! So it wasn't a complete loss; some people go on a 5 year drinking binge and have nothing to show for it at the end but a bad liver and anger issues.

Me on the other hand, it was like having a bank account that just had exponentially negative interest rates but atleast I got to enjoy the investment instead of letting the money sit!

For some reason, I am kind of excited to return it to stock and just see if it drives like when I first got it haha. Main thing I miss is the stock exhaust system, after that I do miss the M62 a bit Getting it to look mostly stock will be kinda cool too i think.
