On another note this dirty s.o.b. will be all together by then end of this weekend.
And exclusive to those who follow the thread... yall have first dibs on my non lsd transmission! 75k miles, no problems far as i know. Little stiff to get into 1st and reverse sometimes otherwise i think its good
Gonna want oh idk 350 shipped maybe less depending who you are lol

You guys are making a big deal out of this; a lot of DSM and honda guys do this and have no issues. overhead twin cam motors with similar valve cover designs. Just because it's never been done on here doesn't mean it can't be done.
Just let me try it. I'll pull the valve cover after a few weeks and see what it's all looking like.
P.S. gonna tack a plate near where the hole is (which is MUCH bigger than the >1/8" 'hole' that used to be there) so that it doesn't just suck out all the oil.
Given that this system will be under vacuum, it should suck out more vapor and crap than the old plates used to simply hold.
There will be no recirculation of hot oil fumes and gas going into my intake.
This will be safer on piston rings.
and likely increase horsepower.
I even asked powell about this. he said he didn't recommend it, but that was about it. It's not the best system, but i'm gonna blow up.

If you want to try it, go for it. This isnt circa 05'-07' when we didnt know much about these cars, and what works, lol.

Honda and dsm owners do have problems with it and the problem is they fill the can up really fast because it is litteraly pulling oil out of the engine and this is the same as some ls owners have tried and failed at and so did a member on here so keep going rolling down the road of tried and failed YOLO FOSHIZZLE IDGAF I GUTTED MY **** CAUSE IM A BOSS

$350 shipped sounds tempting. Already have 2 trans though ( one lsd broken bellhousing )and the other non lsd out of my car with low miles but broken bellhousing. The trans I have in the car now was ''rebuilt'' but I doubt it, thing whines like a son of a bit** and 2nd is a little rusty getting into. Did you tranny whine rice?

literally nothing has been said yet besides 'plz no ricebern don't do it nooo'. alan mentioned blowby resettling on the valvetrain.... otherwise... yeah, nothing has been said. LOL. whether this will WORK is one thing, whether it will work WELL is another, but the probability of it blowing my motor up for whatever reason you all seem scared of seems very small.

What happens now that you gutted the vc is blowby fuel/oil vapors are left to settle into the oil until they build up enough to work their way out of your added hole, instead of being flushed out by the pcv passages you just obliterated.
You asked, and I started to explain. Next thing I know, your vc is gutted.
Good luck. Change your oil every 500 miles to get the fuel out.
Theres a REASON this is "unexplored territory"
What happens now that you gutted the vc is blowby fuel/oil vapors are left to settle into the oil until they build up enough to work their way out of your added hole, instead of being flushed out by the pcv passages you just obliterated.

Ok moving on from the discrepency weve had here...
Engine is back together.
Blower gas been ground down to accept the 2.7"
Belts on.
Gutted valve cover with a.n. fitting is on
Header is on.
******.... i.c. pump is on
New trans has been fluid flushed, new t.o.b. and clutch pipe etc
New gmpp clutch is on. Reusing the flywheel, the machine shop said it checked out ok so it checked out ok.
Most of the other bullshit evap stuff is on, spark plugs, wires, x-y-z, the dirty s.o.b. is about ready to be thrown in.
No pics tonight unfortunately, my phone is a dirty ***** that likes to not hold battery life.
Thats all folks!

Great to hear Adam! Don't take anyone raining on your parade as a negative. Don't care who anyone is on here we've all been here and had to start somewhere. Hell I'm still always learning about this platform. Everyone is just trying to lead you the easier path than some have taken. But I'm pumped for dyno numbers on this!
