ok guys, every single tuner has a first of every car. even the best tuners. what is the big deal? what makes a cobalt soooo special where an experienced tuner simply cannot fathom the sheer complexity of it? its an engine, with pistons, spark plugs, fuel injection, and a supercharger.

Yes every great tuner did start somewhere. We are not saying that the LSJ is some mystery motor, we are simply saying that with the time and effort out into the build it seemed like you just settled with the single most important part, tuning. For Christ sake the guy said 80's aren't supported, which is completely false, and you are still okay with him tuning your car. Just because someone has mastered one engine doesn't mean they will be good at another, that's the point everyone is trying to get at.

he sez he's seen the logs and stuff on HPT but doesnt like the fuel mapping on them; they look more like EKG reading rather than smooth fuel mapping. he's making progress for sure tho
he's used to being able to support 160# injectors on other gm pcms

I waited 5 months to even drive my car after I bought it. Completely different situation but I totally understand how badly you want it on the road. See if you can get a conservative and safe base map and either wait til Pwerks can get you in, or carefully drive it to ZZP. Hell if you had a dolly or trailer you could probably get it in this week at ZZP. I'm driving 6 hours to Michigan for a tune but I need some time off work anyway and I've learned a lot of patience during my troubles.
Say he does get it tuned. Will you ever fully trust it?
